The Centre has a museum which explains so much about the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Great souvenir shop too. There is a nature trail right behind the centre.

You can find maps for all the trails here, even maps just for specific things like waterfalls. It is a very nice visitors center with plenty of souvenirs available as well. But it can be quite crowded.

They have a nice little free museum that shows different animals that are native to the area. They also have maps, souvenirs, etc and clean restrooms. Good stop off to stretch your legs on the nature trail that runs behind it.

All of the visitor centers in tree Smoky Mountains national park are extremely helpful. Sugarlands had several park rangers available to answer questions about hiking trails and anything else about the park. Very nice store to buy souvenirs and clean restrooms!
