We almost missed this stop and so glad we didn't. very beautiful at any time of day but best in the morning when the eastern sun is shining onto the mountains.

Another excellent viewing spot of the Teton Peaks. I would strongly recommend a visit here in the morning for the light.. We did not get up for the sunrise though!

Get there early in the morning as there will be many other photpgrahers for sunrise. Later in the morning is OK too if there are some clouds.

We arrived early morning (although not early enough to catch the sunrise). It was a cloudless day, and the water was still. It was a wonderful, peaceful, easy walk, but the photos stole the show. Here is where you get those classic Nat Geo pics...More

The morning provides the east sun exposure on the mountains and it highlights them better. It the afternoon as the sun moves west the mountains are less defined for pictures.
