The Best
Jun 2021 • Friends
AWESOME place with a great shuttle system which enables you to hike the rim and not have to back track. Nice shop right in the park where you can buy groceries and camp supplies. This place is breathtaking and the trails are phenomenal. Just make sure you bring plenty of water on your hikes and leave early to beat the heat. Its 20-25 degrees hotter in the canyon then the rim. Shuttles start at 4am!

Super great place to see canyon.

So what can one say about the amazing displace of God's work. The South rim is a great place to visit. There is a 30 mile drive to see the canyon of different views the enjoy. You have to go to the end and work your way back. Stop at every place because the scenery is different at all places. Great to see.

Fabulous but food is scarce
Jun 2021
Great views. Very little food. Bright angel and El Tovar’s restaurants were both booked up for lunch and dinner two month in advance so we did hot dogs, chips, sodas from food truck. One food truck. Lines for food were long. No alcohol unless you were seated in the restaurant.

Amazing Sunrise and Sunset
May 2021
Incomparable views. Just fabulous. Arrive ~30 min before sunrise, or ~30 min before sunset for the most dramatic views & photo opportunities, also (in our experience) the least crowds.

Mesmerizing!

Beautiful place!!! worth the visit! the only downside is the parking space in the viewpoints and super crowded! Nature gives a show everywhere you stop to look! Entrance fee is $35.

Best vistas, especially for travelers with disabilities. Easy to navigate. Train offers ADA shuttles.
May 2021 • Friends
The best views, especially for alter-abilities. Rim Trail runs right behind El Tovar Lodge. It is paved, and offers many great vistas. Plus critters and creatures. Fancy or simple food choices along it. Gift shops and art studio. A fun afternoon, or longer. Combine with train for a perfect visit.

Indeed Grand

The South Rim of the Grand Canyon was absolutely breathtaking. I can't express how grand it actually is. The view points and trails headed to Hermits Rest are spectacular. Heading east was equally beautiful, yet different towards Desert View.
