Great place to start in the park with maps, weather and closure information. Also has a good little gift shop! My teens loved looking at the books there. Also, have books for young children.

The visitors center at Apgar is a good place to start when entering at Glacier West. It is somewhat underwhelming but has clean rest rooms, a few displays, a nice selection of books about Glacier and other National Parks, Weather reports, a few gift items...More

There is not much to do on the west side of Glacier National Park due to the fires. The Apgar Visitor center, smoky Lake McDonald, a few trails and restrooms are the only things available.

Located near the West Glacier Entrance. Clean restrooms and enjoyed looking at the exhibits. They also have a souvenir/bookstore.

We asked about what trails were available (and possible for seniors in their late 60s) and received very good advice. There are many excellent exhibits here. See my eleven pictures for some of them.

Clean restrooms, easy parking & very knowledgeable staff to teach you where to go & what to do in the vast Glacier Park area! Open area for the kids to move around as desired before you pack back up & head out.
