This airboat ride was one to remember. Our group coming in on a bus was paid for ahead of time and we were advanced to head straight to the boats instead of dealing where the ticket booth. One in our party had a wheelchair and they helped her to her seat and made her as comfortable as possible. The rest of us boarded the boat and awaited the tour. A guide was also the driver and was very informative about the Everglades. He pointed out many things to look at and many animals and birds. We turned the corner and he began 2 speed the Airboat up. It was just like being on a roller coaster! There were three other airboats working in the same area and we had to be careful not to disturb the wildlife. Soon we were back after an hour to the docks where we Departed and the woman was helped to her wheelchair. But that was not the end of our tour. We headed over to this Arena where a naturalist taught us about both the alligator and the crocodile that lived in the area by giving a live demonstration. It was a wonderful time and we learned many new things.

We're glad you enjoyed the airboat ride, but you did not take the tour with us. We operate overnight kayak camping tours into the backcountry of Everglades National Park.

This was an amazing trip, highly recommend for avid outdoors people looking for a unique, physically manageable but technically challenging tour. Guide Dave is extremely knowledgeable on all things everglades and has an airtight itinerary to show the breadth of this one of a kind ecosystem in just 5 days all while keeping everyone in the group well fed. Extra bug spray is recommended but this is otherwise a fantastic trip.

Similar to others our flights have been cancelled to the USA for next month so we have been cancelling all tours which we have booked. These are unique circumstances which is both a health concern and a financial worry. Us as customers want our money back due to the unstable financial and job market which been forced upon us but at the same time this situation could put small businesses, such as Dave's company, out of business. It is such an awful situation for everyone.
Dave K's T&C's clearly state that under no circumstances will refunds be provided, and I accepted this at the time of booking so didn't expect to get a refund, just his support to help us claim on our insurance. However, Dave offered me the option to refund me the balance I had paid a few weeks back and suggested he keep the non-refundable deposit which will be put towards a different tour next year. I definitely have plans to go back next year when this has all passed so neither of us are out of pocket. Look forward to meeting you and the alligators next year Dave.

This kayaking overnight trip in the 10 Thousand Islands was one of the best outdoors trips I have taken. It was the three day/two night trip that included five or so hours of kayaking each day through small and large bays with shore birds galore--pelicans, herons, egrets, and cormorants along with diving dolphins. Leaders shared expert naturalist knowledge, entertained with good stories and created wonderful ambiance among all the kayakers. I was always confident with the guidance through windy and choppy areas. Camping on small island (called a key) with the sunset on one side and just few steps to other side for sunrise was paradise for me. Food was extraordinarily good and fresh. Efficient operation with easy set up and take down of tents and routines with packing and arranging kayaks.

The Everglades are beautiful and Dave K is the person to see them with. Dave is a knowledgeable and fun guide who puts safety first and has exquisite attention to detail. I highly recommend the five day trip to anyone who likes the outdoors and camping in tents.

I am SO grateful for the 5-day kayak tour that Dave led, exactly the way that he led it. All seven of us appreciated Dave's extensive experience, excellent fresh food, and first-rate equipment. Above an beyond them, Dave gave us an element of discovery such as when we approached coves with dolphins, or walked past the cemetery on Fakahatchee Island. He led us to them without introduction, and quietly let us appreciate them for the first time. Many thanks for sharing the remote islands of southwest Florida with us!

We did a 2 night, 3 day trip. We kayaked about 6 miles a day and camped on a beautiful beach where we got to see the sunset each night. Very peaceful and not too strenuous. We visited an island created and inhabited by Native Americans long ago. I recommend a mosquito hat/net. Everything is provided. Meals were prepared and very good. Beautiful wildlife to be seen.

Dave is a magician. If nothing else about this wonderful tour doesn’t impress you, Dave’s ability to day after day pull meals, snacks, and an evening happy hour out of these kayaks, will surely leave you wondering where it all comes from.

Dave is a great guide with a palpable love for this environment, and it shows. He was always there if you needed advice, answers, or the occasional ego check. Giving each guest as much interaction, or freedom as they wanted.

Dave was great with communication, even through the pandemic, and a postponed departure date, he was quick to respond to any questions we had.

We all had a great time

Trip was amazingly on every level. Dave is professional and knowledgeable about nature. Food was beyond my wildest expectations. Dave worked around the weather and adjusted our destinations to ensure the best possible camping locations and kayak routes. We saw an array of wildlife, but not a single python

This trip is not easy and that's okay.

Day 1: We meet Dave and he gave us a quick safety brief and got us and our 7 new friends situated and in our kayaks. He let us paddle out for about an hour to observe our techniques and see who needed pointers. I was just about burnt out at that point before he explained how to use the paddle in an efficient technique which made a world of difference. We had lunch on a small island and Dave pointed out every bird, bug, animal, and plant in awesome detail. We got to our camp and setup where he prepared a delicious hot meal and we received a very personal tour of our very own Island.

Day 2: We kayaked up a river where we got another amazing lunch, saw alligators, sharks, dolphins, and so many amazing birds. He again cooked a very hardy meal that kept us fueled up and ready for bed.

Day 3: We packed up our camp and headed to a beach on Picnic Key, but not before exploring the nooks and crannies of all the mangroves on our way. We had an awesome Christmas feast and even defended ourselves against a marauding band of raccoons! More dolphins, sharks, and fish!

Day 4: Packed up camp and paddled our way home across the beautiful mangroves of the Everglades.

Seeing the National Park at 2 miles per an hour with a well informed and experienced guide is one of the best ways to see this national treasure. What's even more special is how much Dave loves his career and his passion for his craft. He's all smiles and makes even the most trying days a pleasure to experience.

Best tour and camping trip I've ever been on. He also told me to say there are no bugs in my review.

PS: It's the Everglades, bring Benadryl and bite cream if you react to bug bites.
