Really enjoyed the hike - first thing in the morning - not too strenuous at all. Think it took about 20 minutes to get to the top. Be sure to look at the map en route as the trail does not necessarily lead you to...More
The trail up was great. We saw two large deer as we came around one corner. Parts were rocky and not super accessible if you are not in good physical condition. Once we got to the top, the sun was starting to set. We didn’t...More
The interesting thing about this rock is that it was perched here by glaciers during the Ice Age. Geologists estimate that it probably came from an area 40 miles to the North - its composition is a very different type of granite to what is...More

If you are only hiking one bubble, I would plan on at least one hour. You will want to linger at the top as the views of Jordan Pond are magnificent. If you are hiking both bubbles, plan on an hour and a half. It is well worth the time and the effort, but be sure to arrive early in the day as parking is very limited and fills quickly. Enjoy!
