Welcome to the Tamborine Mountain Glow Worm Tours! During our tours you will experience the results of our ground-breaking conservation project, as we guide you through our spectacular purpose-built cave, filled with thousands of glowing Glow Worms! We offer the only opportunity in Queensland to see Glow Worms during the day, and over the course of 30 minutes, you’ll meet a Glow Worm up close and learn all about their life cycle and behaviour. Our cave features a colony of native Mt. Tamborine Glow Worms, and is part of a long-term breeding program, so your admission helps support and ensure the survival of the species in South East Queensland for future generations!

With friends visiting from the UK we headed up to Mt Tambourine for a day trip and found ourselves at the Mt Tambourine Glow Worms attraction. Being a GC local I’d heard all about the Glow Worms and my kids had even been there during...More

I can see why this place gets mixed reviews. It is less a tourist attraction and more a conservation effort. It is advertised that the caves are fake and the tour is short. My family and I enjoyed the tour and the educational and conservation...More

Located on the same premises as a vineyard, the place is wonderful for a stroll. Car parking available. There’s a big pond and fountain too. The glow worm tours are fixed at half-hourly intervals, and entrance fees are reasonable (considering it’s an attraction). Tour guide...More

Man-made cave in a forest. Actual view of the tiny worms are only 10 minutes with little interactions and highlights. Poor video introduction before the viewing and rude guide. The roads on Mt. Tambourine is refreshing though. The forested area is good as are the...More

It was informative and it was well set up so that you could see the glow worms. There was also an interesting frog area. There is a cafe and winery there as well. You can easily spend a couple of hours there.

Congratulations to the attraction for providing an experience that to most of us would never be available. To view glow worms during the day in a perfectly controlled environment was breathtaking. To be able to look at 7,000 glowing bottoms was like looking to the...More

Guide was great but very tired area. The restaurant staff rude and a bit obnoxious. Very disappointing had been looking forward too.

Before you go into the Glow Worm caves the guide gives a very interesting talk on the glow worms and all the does and don't of what to do while you are in the cave.
