Amazing. Design 21 21 had a very interesting Exhibition on Material and the way its used by the animal world and humans , One was made by a crow which made its nest out of Coat hangers, which may be due to greater bendability of the hangers over twigs. A cross section of Japanese Green Woodpeckers Nest. The building itself is also amazing by Japanese's Architecture Tadao Ando.

The show there is amazing. It was a show on Materials when I went and I enjoyed my time there for about 2-3 hours, and feels that I have gone through everything in detail.

If you love architecture or design, (or both!) then a visit to the 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT is a must. The building by Tadao Ando is stunning. The sight itself houses excellent design related exhibitions directed by Japan’s most renowned designers. The peaceful Midtown Garden around the museum is a tranquil place to stroll before or after your visit.

I was just walking, looking for a place to sit down and rest, but the garden has so many beautiful spots, I spent very peaceful few hours there and took lots of photos .

Went there during a short walk around Roppongi. There was an exhibition, but due to time constrain, only managed a quick visit to the shop. Although small, but the design is nice and situated in a lovely neighborhood.

I'm not a bug person, so wasn't sure I would enjoy the Insects: Model for Design exhibition, but I couldn't have been more wrong. I was captivated from the very beginning. Who doesn't love a larger than life millipede!! Everything was so well conceived and presented in a thought provoking way. I could have stayed for hours.

The musuem building itself is a beautiful work of art. It blends seamlessly into the serene park surroundings and draws you into. Schedule extra time to enjoy the outdoors and well as the indoor activities.

Quirky but elegant, the 21-21 Design Sight creates a full display of Ando's talent. The exhibits are really secondary to the intellectual and chic architecture.

We visited this museum in the very period when there was a special exhibition in one of their galleries entitled 'Insects: Models for Design'. It was an exhibition of extraordinary images. Insects were enlarged, were displayed in a multitude of ways and were made beautiful and appealing. It was something very worth seeing.
