We were shocked today to find this iconic building gone after more than 50 years! What a surprise to see the empty space in such a prominent spot on the Ginza!

Nissan is on the first two floors with cool futuristic and concept cars. Sony is on the next floors up. The Sony robot dog is only available in Japan. Free to another. Great stop in Ginza.

On a couple of floors you can see the innovations Sony has worked on in recent years. It's not overwhelming but still nice to see. The robotic dog is there. A pitty that the English knowledge of the staff is very limited. You also have...More

The Sony Building is no longer and this quite famous building that looked unremarkable is just a hole in the ground but one can expect that in Tokyo and that is progress. I expect the new one will be equally interesting.

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's
also a downtown area with shops that were founded over
a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury
boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza.
It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels,
world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a
collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular
