A center for highway buses throughout Kyushu
Mar 2020
If you are planning a trip to another major city in Kyushu, I recommend considering the buses that leave this terminal. The are often as fast as the trains (except the shinkansen) and are much cheaper and frequent. Buses also leave the terminal for many points in Fukuoka. The upper floors of the terminal also house a McDonald's and a Daiso 100 Yen store as well as other shops and restaurants. Visited 28 March 2020.

Convenient and economical,
Feb 2020
This is the main bus station where you can get the cheapest bus fare ride for whole day in Fukuoka, you have to get one at the bus information canter, very comfortable and informative signs to go around, and the stations have a lot of food stores, restaurants, and shopping malls.

Take the Bus (Not the Subway) to Fukuoka Airport International Terminal
Nov 2019
This 20 mins Bus ride from Hakata station to Fukuoka Airport costs Y270 one way is way better than riding the subway as the subway stops at the domestic terminal and you need to lug your luggage onto a separate free bus transfer whereas this stops directly in front of the international terminal.

Fukuoka Airport to Hakata station
Oct 2019 • Couples
As you can search for guidance on how to get to Hakata station from Fukuoka Airport on google, I highly recommend you to take a Bus which is so much easier than the train as many others recommended.

As soon you exit the customs at the Fukuoka international terminal, you will see both the information desk and Bus ticket booth are close to each other on your left side. You just buy the bus ticket for Hakata station, 270 Yen. Then go outside and look for the Bus stop #2. Stand there and wait for the Bus, which is running very 5-10’. There is always an Airport staff standing by to coordinate people to correct buses, so you can ask him for help.

From Fukuoka Airport to Hakata station is only 1 stop apart, and it takes about 5 minutes to ride.

Good luck guys.

A Bus Terminal Not Designed For Tourists
Oct 2019
This was a fairly efficient bus terminal with good signage and instructions for Japanese speakers but not great for foreigners. There was very little English signage and advice about which bus went where. The tickets were also all in Japanese. As the terminal is a key point for tourists to travel to places like Nagasaki this aspect could be improved. There were also confusing boarding procedures with lanes designated for those who had not booked seats. Very clear to the locals but not so for others.

Convenient and user friendly
Sep 2019
This is the city’s final stop for the Bus coming in from the Fukuoka International Airport and the starting point for long distance bus trips to other parts of Kyushu. It is also a couple of minutes from the JR Hakata Station. There is English signage and clear indications for non-Japanese visitors. There are coin lockers for temporary luggage storage in case you would like to visit the shops located in the bus terminal building above the bus platforms.

Great Place for Shopping at Daiso!
Apr 2019
Hakata Bus Terminal is an important landmark if you are taking the airport bus to Hakata Station. It is also a great place to go shopping especially the huge Daiso 100 yen shop. The important thing is that from this Bus Terminal, you can ride a bus to alot of other cities on Kyushu Island. It is also next to the Train station where there is the subway and JR station. Surrounding the bus terminal is an amazing place for unending great food galore and shopping paradise. A convenient location with alot of hotels and car rental companies.
