Explore ramen chains nearby
Dec 2019
Was here during Christmas 2019, nothing to shout about this place. The food selection was much narrow compared to bigger cities like Tokyo, Kyoto or Hokkaido.
Nevertheless, Hakata is the house of some of the famous ramen chains in Japan.

Hakata Station is Fukuoka's moan transportation and entertainment hub
Mar 2020
Hakata Station is the main train station in Fekuoka and is a train, bus, subway and taxi transportation hub, as well as a central shopping and business area. It is two subway stops from the Fukuoka International Airport and a bus ride from Fukuoka's international and domestic ferry/boat terminals. It has over 1000 restaurants within a short walk and is also a shopping Mecca. A visit to Fukuoka will often bring you through the station on a daily basis. It is worth at least a day to spend just walking around the station looking in its stores and eating in the restaurants. There are several information centers within the station stocked with tourist information on the area. Visited 12 March 15 April 2020.

A station will malls around
Oct 2019
Been passing through in and out this building every single day during my trip.
1. The croissant sold inside there was superbly delicious
2. All facilities are on point
3. Shopping heaven with different malls attached to the main building (just don't get lost inside the building)

Huge Station!
Feb 2020
i guess everyone will get lost somewhere in hakata station because it is so huge and beyond the undergrounds are all shopping, foodie areas. The subway to the airport to the other side are all underground walks. It is a nice place to walk, shop, find food and get some souvenirs.

Big station
Mar 2019
This is a big station in Fukuoka. Outside, we saw display of tulips when we were there. Wanted to visit the Asahi beer factory but didn't have time.

Great Place to Arrive in Fukuoka!
Dec 2019
We arrived here via the bullet train from Osaka and the station is very lively and in a great location within walking distance of Hard Rock Cafe and a Zen Temple. Lots of shops and stores in the station complex which is quite large. Grab a bento or sushi box and beer to take on the train!

2 Day unlimited train ride
Jan 2020 • Couples
Go to the Ticket Counter at the station with your passport and you can buy 2 day unlimited train ride, including to airport and a reasonable price. This is not advertised widely and at the ticket machine, only 1 day ticket is on sale.

When you travel to international airport, remember to go early to take shuttle bus from train station that takes you to domestic airport. The bus journey is about 20mins excluding wait time.

Crowded but only good for food choices
Jan 2020 • Couples
We came here for food only as there were plenty of choices. Most eateries are on B1 or B2. The shopping isn’t as good and they are mostly big departmental stores. Better to go to Tenjin or Canal City mall. As for the supermarkets and eateries, there are plenty here.
