Eastwood was the birthplace of DH Lawrence so we were mortified to learn that the museum was closed on the day of our visit due to staff absence. It was a long way to travel from the south of England!More

I have lived in and visited Eastwood for 53 yeras even read DH Lawrence as part of my schooling. There is a stereotype of DH Lawrence that ties in with his books in the town of Eastwood. However today completely change that vision for me....More

An excellent guided tour with the information split into manageable segments as we moved through the rooms. A real insight into Lawrence`s childhood.

A very enjoyable visit. Such attention to detail in all the rooms of the house which was complemented by the excellent guide who gave an absorbing insight into Lawrence, his family members and their relationships and how they lived their everyday lives.

A wonderful visit. Carolyn brought the Lawrence family to life! It almost seemed that she new each of them personally. I will certainly be visiting again, to discover more about Lawrence's writing and life away from Eastwood.
