Really enjoyed the interactive guide for Verdi's birthplace. It was set up so you could really imagine how is life was as a child. It was small and didn't take long to see.

This was a great start to exploring Verdi's early years. The museo is very nicely put together and brings to life what I have read in books.

This little museum was remarkably put together, complete with an English-speaking interactive electronic tour (included with admission). Seemed particularly geared to children because narrated by "young Verdi," but I (in my late 60s) enjoyed it too. If you are a Verdi fan, and a monoglot...More

Visiting Verdi’s birthplace is a moving experience and the excellent IPad guide is easy to use and most informative.

Very atmospheric. A pity many of the original furnishings are replaced by replicas, but understandable.

The plaque commemorates the restoration of Verdi's birthplace by the Pallavicino family in 1872 to preserve it for posterity. The house was closed when we got there, but from the outside it looked very well maintained and not the "humble dwelling" the plaque mentions. Will...More

One gets a real sense of Verdi's beginnings with a tour of this home. The guide will normally give commentary in both Italian and English, but luckily the Italian family in our group had English speaking visitors and so requested English only. (Anna, the Italian...More

Anyone visiting Busseto is going there to follow Verdi's roots and get a feel of his historical path. So this should be the first step on the tour, as this is the humble cottage his parents rented when he was born. They don't warn you...More
