This is one of the place to experience amazing mrauk oo sun set without much efforts. But the best sun set can be seen only by climbing the mountain top which is near to this pagoda.
Beautiful artifacts of Rakhine on the wall is also amazing.

Having seen many pagodas elsewhere, this one is special. Do not miss the block with the ancient writing on the left as you enter. Oddly there are some Hindu symbols in some of the carving but this appears unexplained. The interior passages are amazing with a great variety of stone carvings.

It was part of our lunch stop in Mrauk U to visit this plave. It is an amazing side kept renovated by easy means. The figurines show the sense of humour people had at that time. A must see.

This place is the best in Mrauk U. There are inside tunnels and they just keep going. The design work inside is breathtaking and the colors are just wonderful. The carvings will just take your breath away. Hurry quickly to visit Myanmar.

This temple seems a bit different from other temples that I know of. If you visit Mrauk-U, please stop by Shai-thaung Temple!

Very impressive temple form outside. Inside is even better because it has 2 corridors with sculptures on the walls. Some of them are still colorful. You need time to properly explore them. Bring a torch with you so you can see the details. Min. 1 hour recommended on site.

An over 100 m tunnel-like passageway meanders through the fortress-like temple. The walls are lined with colored bas relief sculptures of Rakhine people, animals, and Jakata stories. An amazing visual experience and must-visit site.

It is not just the exterior of this temple which is unusual it is also all the stuff hidden away inside. You will one exploring the long passageways that take you to amazing interiors of the temple. The colors in the main room of the temple are amazing with the murals and artwork on the ceiling and buddha statues galore.

Beautiful temple, with two inside corridors lined with buddhas. The original colours and details of carvings are spectacular. You won't see this style and detail anywhere else in Myanmar. Certainly one of the top three temples in Mrauk U. So few tourists make it to Mrauk U (so far), and in my opinion, a three-day visit is one for your bucket list. Go now before it's discovered by the mobs.
