Temple with 90,000 buddha images. A landmark of Mrauk U. Really beautiful, hire a bycicle and visit also its environments. Better in the morning for a better view with sunray in the tunnel around the temple.

This was the first temple we visited - in its' current state it is simply stunning, an ancient temple almost left to the elements. Very atmospheric and photogenic.

In the enthusiasm to cater for the hordes, the local authorities are installing facilities un-sympathetic to the surrounds. I noticed a lot of it on my second visit this year compare to the visit in 2014.

A massive temple with a spiralling vaulted passageway past myriads of small Buddah images, punctuated every couple of meters by larger sculptures. The largest temple in town.
