The range of birds gets better as you move along. Good to see but once is enough, an enjoyable way to spend an hour or two. You can combine a ticket with monkeyland as they are next to each other.

From the moment you enter the aviary you encounter the most wonderful sights with such a great variety of bird species all in one place. Definitely surpassed expectations. The colours are phenomenal. The walkway cleverly takes you through different layers of the forest ending up in the canopy. Worth paying the extra R20 to get the guide about what all... More

No guides are on site so it's a good idea to buy a book in the shop to help identify the birds. Didn't seem to be too many at first, but those we did see were very colourful and noisy. Further on there are more birds of various species and the area is well laid out. It might be an... More

If you like to see beautiful birds in a near natural environment this is a must. The fantastic variety of birds had the freedom to fly around in this massive Avery. You could not closer to nature walking freely with such a variety and quantity of birds.

This is well thought out and a pleasure to visit. Loads of birds to sit and watch and many are very close to you. Good value for the price

The walk through the huge enclosure gets you up close to many of the birds. The first part gives you a chance to see the ground feeders, many with amazing colours. The middle section is a bit disappointing, the the end section more than makes up for it, with trees full of colourful birds.

This is a really interesting and well organised bird haven . To see Louries so close up is amazing. It's best to take your time snd walk slowly through this bird wonderland. There are plenty of woodland creatures to see as well as the birds ,like the normally shy blue duiker . Spend some time by the restaurant by the... More

We went with our 6 month old in a stroller and spent about 3 hours inside. We arrived quite late in the day and were the last to leave and as such meant it was very quiet. This place is extraordinary- moving up through the different environments, pausing and the seeing all the birds emerge from the undergrowth. Then arriving... More

Very colorful, beautiful birds. I didn't have a lot of time so I went through at a faster pace, but I imagine people could spend hours here.
