Birds of Eden is a not to miss experience when visiting the Crags in Plettenberg Bay. You will not ever, in Africa, see so many birds of all species in one walk. It consists of a gigantic walk-through aviary through dense forest to open waters, past pools of water and areas of grass fields where the birds can be found... More

This is our second visit. You would not even notice it is enclosed as you have wooden walkways in natural surroundings and even waterfalls. The birds are tame enough to eat nearby. Loved the beautiful knysna Turaco, and flamingos. Need a rest sit on the benches and enjoy the scenery.

Have visited this venue on previous visits to Plettenberg Bay and enjoyed it this year as much as we did on our first visit. It is extremely well designed and constructed and allows you to get close to some very exotic birds. The nice little café at the end of the walkway is well worth a visit.

The Birds of Eden is a beautiful place to observe birds in their natural forest habitat. There are tons of different bird species from the massive blue crane to the tiny Scarlett Ibis. It is an amazing place where you are sure to see birds big, small, colourful and plain. Everywhere you go there are birds of all shapes and... More

A nice, calm place to observe the birds and enjoy a forest walkthrough. You can do all the course on 20 to 30 minutes, but I suggest taking some time to relax, maybe grab a cup of coffee. Don't miss if you're a bird enthusiast.

Spent almost four hours walking amongst the birds, incredible setting, very well set out, lots of birds to see in a very natural environment, staff were great, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the birds around them, just walking on the boardwalks thorough a small forest is stunning and then by gradually working your way through you end up almost in... We bought a combo ticket for this park and the Monkey sanctuary. The first part was a little disappointing and we began to wonder whether it was a waste of time. How wrong we were. The board walks, bridges, crossings and wetland areas just got better and better. Do use mosquito repellent before you start. They do offer it free... More

If ever you have time this is a "must do" just outside Plettenberg Bay. There is a small restaurant offering delightful small meals and snacks. So many different exotic birds to see at very close range. One can only marvel at the Colours......simply too beautiful. Take binoculars and cameras.

Even if you are not a real bird fan, this place is intriguing with a walk way through a forest, nestling in a huge netted area, so large that you can see flocks of birds flying. We had flamingos walking so close to us, which we captured on video. The walk way winds up and down and across on a... More

If you are a bird lover, I would definitely recommend a visit here You have to be attentive from the moment you enter the aviary. Take your time and invest in the booklet that lists the birds. Absolutely worth the money.
