Overview
More
Birds of Eden is part of the South African Animal Sanctuary Alliance (SAASA). Birds of Eden is the largest single-dome free flight aviary in the world, spanning 2.3 hectares of natural forests, streams and dams. With over a kilometre of walkways, visitors can experience the thrill of spotting almost 3500 previously captive birds of over 200 different species flying free and living natural lives. The scenery alone warrants a visit with hundreds of different plant and tree species plus there are giant fruit bats, golden-handed tamarins and the smallest of the antelopes, Blue duikers. Visits to Birds of Eden are self-guided and you are free to wander for as long as you wish at your own pace. Guided tours for group bookings can also be arranged on request at no additional cost.

We purchased the combo ticket (Monkeyland, Birds of Eden and Jukani). There was so much to see and after a while you forget you are in a huge aviary! It was great trying to identify all of the species we were seeing (I think it's...More

We purchased the two trip tour (with monkeyland) and had a great day out. The walkways were extremely clear and well presented. Staff clearly cared about the animals and our safety. The birds were well looked after and clearly happy with their environment.

I didn't know this was such a huge place with so many different birds under one roof. Go with ample time on your hands and also binoculars that help a closer look at shy birds. If lucky you'll come across friendly African grey/Conure that hop...More

This is a really lovely spot. The only place I've ever been that is similar is the jungle biosphere at the Eden project. Once you are in you are assailed by the most amazing displays of colour. Stunning birds in a huge, safe space. Everywhere...More

I saw many gorgeous birds and birds I have never seen before. They are all just wandering around the park. There are even flamingos! I wish they had a tour guide because I had no idea what each type of bird was. Would still recommend!

No, you can use it within a few days. But also include the Jukani wildlife park into your combo ticket. It is wort a visit. Combo tickets can be used to visit the park in the morning, and maybe return late afternoon again... More
