Had some trepidation as always unsure whether animals are treated well. However, they seemed to have good space to roam around and guide and keepers clear about what we could or couldn't do. No sticks and no chains which was a good sign compared to...More

We visited the sanctuary whilst we stayed in plettenberg bay. I was a fantastic experience. The staff were great and very friendly. We enjoyed learning about the elephants at the sanctuary and elephants in general. Highly recommend this experience

A beautiful experience, the animals had a very large space and seemed to be treated with a lot of respect. The elephants know to line up when the truck comes and you can feed them fruit and veg purchased at reception. The guide then walked...More

We had an amazing afternoon with these gentle giants. We enjoyed learning about each of the elephants being cared for and all the information about elephants in general but the best part of the afternoon was being able to take a walk with the elephants.
