What an amazing Snake Sanctuary with a wide range of different snake species. And our guide was amazing, he moved so freely and fearlessly around the snakes and was super knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the snakes in the area and in other areas in South Africa and out. One of us even got over our fears of touching... More

This visit was a very informative, interactive visit. The guide was so knowledgeable and loving with all of his snakes. Holding a boa constrictor was a little frightening at first but an amazing experience.

Excellent guide, informative and with a good sense of humour which really added to the tour. Our guide showed us a wide variety of snakes and we all got to hold them, even one of our party who was not keen at first but did it. We found the whole experience fantastic value. The guide welcomed questions and really knew... More

It was interesting to see snakes close up, as usual. It was the first time for my child so she got to touch a corn snake. Guide spoke too much about himself and what he likes and hates... Would have liked more information about the snakes than him.

We were met at the gate by the manager / owner and felt at home instantly. The presenter for our group was extremely knowledgeable and he certainly targetted his talk to the children. There were many kids in the group and some had returned for the second or third time. A great all round experience.

It was a rainy day in Plett today. So we decided to go for a drive to the Lawnwood Snake Sanctuary. Immediately we were greeted with such care and thoughtfulness. Umbrellas. An all weather activity. 160RAN per adult. Great price. We were shown the crocodiles and given lots of information on them. Then we were hands over to our guide... More

We visited Lawnwood while staying in Knysna during our honeymoon. My husband is really found of snakes and such, and he had a memorable morning here! I was staying on a distance with a big zoom on the camera so he could enjoy it again now where are back home! We did the proposed tour with the guide, and wander... More

Over two weeks in South Africa this has been one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide, Wilmore, was a truly brilliant tour guide - engaging, funny, informative and passionate about reptiles. The tour was meant to last an hour but we were there for almost two as there was so much to see and do. We learnt a... More
