Clean, neat museum with very friendly and pleasant staff. The historical info and pieces on display was informative, well maintained and overall it was a worthwhile stop to stretch the legs!

Colesberg is rich in the history of the Boere war, lots of information available at the museum. Special tours can be arranged and info about Colesberg is at the Colesberg Information Centre

This is a small museum, with most exhibits behind glass without any accompanying information. There was a whole display case of silver, but who knows where it came from as there was nothing about its provenance.
There were photo prints of the Karoo Nomads, some info was provided but there again, the visitor was left without any assistance. Surely someone could provide commentary on the items in the museum, as it is really not user friendly. What a pity , as it certainly has potential.
