unpaved road with ugly formation on both side
Jun 2019
it's an unpaved road, and the views for both size is ugly, it won't be a lost if you didn't drive through it. but when you drive from Harmony Borax works to this drive, you can see some more ruins related to the mine works

Another oddity
Oct 2019
This is a short, but comfortable drive through yellow something. It wasn't explained what the yellow stuff is, but it is different that the rest of DV. It takes just a few minutes, but is interesting.

The yellow coloured canyon just north of Harmony Borax Works
Apr 2019 • Couples
Mustard Canyon is a quick and easy place to combine with visits to the Harmony Borax Works in Death Valley National Park.

This is a one-way short drive that passes the main car park area and journeys through a narrow canyon that is mustard yellow in colour before linking back up with Hwy-190 a mile or so north of the Harmony Borax Works.

From the Harmony Borax Works carpark the hills of Mustard Canyon look bright yellow. The colour softens to a white-yellow colour as you approach the canyon in your vehicle. The drive is approximately 1 mile in length, winding through tall hills of the yellow coloured rocks and earth. These are neat to stop and take photos as long as nobody is driving behind you.

We enjoyed seeing Mustard Canyon near Harmony Borax Works. The canyon is of unique geology and makes for a good add-on activity if you are looking for more things to do in this area of Death Valley.
