About
Time: Intangible, yet precious – to flora, fauna and man. From nature's intricate variety of species and her consistent changing of the seasons, to the ever-intuitive alertness and migrations of the wild, man is privileged to both witness and rationalise time. Akin to this, all our experiences and memories define our human existence – whether reminiscing the past, living in the present, or dreaming of the future. When contemplated, these moments become lifetime-markers that we share with family and friends, either through oral storytelling or visual images. At eyeseeAfrica, we understand the luxury, and fragility, of time. Our safari experiences are planned to harmoniously balance and respect the nexus of man and the unseen wildness found in nature, providing guests with the perfect platform to create meaningful memories. Established in 2014 by Founder and Director Tertius Jordaan, a Namibian, born with a penchant for the heartbeat of Africa.

My husband and I have just returned from our second African adventure which was arranged by Eye See Africa. We visited Cape Town, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana in the space of two weeks. We had internal flights, visas, several immigration/passport control stops and a fabulous trip on Rovos Rail not to mention a beautiful sunset cruise of the Zambesi River. At every point in our journey we were met by lovely people who knew exactly where we should be at any given time and who were all so punctual and courteous. This was all organised by Tertius, Lara and the team who were in constant contact with us at all times. Even all our restaurant reservations were organised by Eye See Africa. I cannot emphasise enough how easy and relaxing this made our holiday especially listening to fellow travellers who seemed to have many issues with their holiday!
My husband and I have fallen in love with Africa and we shall definitely return in the future. Eye See Africa will be our contact once again without a shadow of a doubt.

Dear David & Lesley Thank you so much for the great review! We are so happy that you had a great time during your second trip with us. "Falling in love with Africa" is probably the most beautiful words that a client can say to someone like myself that is so passionate about Africa. I am already thinking of how your next trip should look like be when you are ready to come back to Africa, this time Namibia :) Stay safe in these challenging times and we all hope that this will be over soon! eyeseeAfrica facilitated the most incredible bespoke Southern African adventure for us. I have never felt in more capable hands. Our 6 week, 4 country trip exceeded our expectations.

From preliminary planning to execution it was flawless. Tertius’s love and knowledge of Africa is so apparent. Our wishes and budget were constantly acknowledged and adhered to in the planning.

We began designing our adventure with Tertius in 2019 and it was to take place in 2020. Due to Covid and an unexpected family matter we had to reschedule our trip three times. The amount of work that that must of entailed in incomprehensible. Yet Tertius remained a delight to deal with.

As this was our first trip to Southern Africa and with over four weeks of self drive planned we greatly appreciated in-depth level of organization and communication.

I can’t imagine finding a more experienced and committed team. I would 100% recommend them to anyone considering an epic African adventure.

Some of my most appreciated details

* The bespoke itinerary was lay out for our trip on an incredible personalized website. It has a break down of overview, destination, accommodations, daily information, map, transportation, information, documents. It contained every detail and could be accessed any time.

* The exceeding abundance of personal knowledge of the areas travelled

* The daily communication while travelling

* Professional personalized service

* Coming in on budget

Dear Jodi & Dave What a wonderful review and I am so happy that your first trip to Africa didn't disappoint and that you had such a great experience. It has been such a long time since you and Dave started planning this trip with us. Twice postponed due to Covid but in some way, the wait worked out well as all the Covid regulations had been lifted by the time you travelled. No more time-wasting PCR tests crossing borders. :) It was really a pleasure and a great privilege to plan this trip for you and Dave, the best clients one could ask for. It was heart-warming to almost daily get your WhatsApp messages on the group telling us how incredible the scenery, lodges and your experience are. There are many more countries to see in Africa. Come back soon!

We knew the head of the Boutique travel agency EyeSeeAfrica, Tertius Jordan, from a previous fantastic holiday in Namibia. Thus, we (two couples) wanted to use his experience with planning of a holiday in South-Africa. We ordered the trip for 2020, but it was corona-postponed until October this year. However, Tertius (head of EyeSeeAfrica) managed to keep the prices at our travel as previously agreed on almost three years earlier! The program was fantastic; I think we experienced all the highlights of Cape Town (including Table Mountain, Robben Island, Cape Point, boulders penguins), Hermanus (with the whales), winery in Franschhoek, Oudtshoorn (ostrich farms, Cango Caves) and Knysna (visiting elephants, Monkeyland and Birds of Eden). The last days were at a beautiful Kapama Private Game Reserve, situated in the greater Kruger National Park region, where we saw “the big five”. We had always very skilled and nice guides. Our accommodation was super; we loved to live in fashion hotels and small, cosy hotels, and the boutique style with specially selected accommodations was fantastic. EyeSeeAfrica has really picked out the best for us! Thus, if you want a special and successful holiday, we can recommend EyeSeeAfrica😊

Dear Hilde Thank you so much for the positive review. After having to postpone so many times I am really happy that you at last made it to South Africa. I am also delighted that you had such a good time with Tove and your husbands. Hopefully this will not be your last trip to Africa. All the best!

This was our third trip booked through eyeseeAfrica and again It was just a pleasure working with this travel company. As an Australian I have limited knowledge of Africa and it is important to me to deal with a reputable company who has a good understanding of my expectations and furthermore has an in depth knowledge of the areas that we were travelling to. The guidance that Tertius provided was spot on in planning our trip and his attention to detail was again crucial to ensure the we had a wonderful experience. I also have to mention the fact that we daily had contact with the company on WhatsApp which gave us a lot of peace of mind! They also daily send text messages confirming daily activities, tips etc. Really incredible support during our whole trip from this comapny! I can highly recommend using Eyeseeafrica to plan your next trip to Africa.

Dear Mr Boyle It was once again a pleasure to arrange this trip for you and we are very happy that you and your family had a great experience while staying in SA this year. Sorry that we had to postpone your trip twice but at least it happened eventually in this very challenging year. Have a safe trip home and hopefully see you soon again back in Africa for that bucket list Gorilla trip we talked about...that is when planes eventually fly :( All the best! Tertius

We had a great time Namibia thanks to EyeSeeAfrica. Tertius (the owner) got personally involved in creating a customized itinerary for us, delivering what we asked for. All the lodges he selected and curated were incredible.

They were also very attentive to us through out our stay, monitoring our experience every day, several times a day.
Strongly recommended.

Dear Herman Thanks you very much for taking the time to write us a review. This positive feedback from someone who is an expert in the hospitality industry means a lot to us. We hope to welcome you soon back to Africa. Panamanian citizens do not need a visa for South Africa ☺☺ All the best! Tertius

Extremely well organized trip through ZA through EyesseeAfrica.
After the unexpected grounding of Comair through the SACAA, Tertius was able to reorganized the flight via another Airport and an additional stop/night in Johannesburg on a short term.
The self driving tour enabled us to learn know the country from Cape Town to Port Elisabeth (Garden Route), enjoying the Addo Elephant National Park (Gorah Elephant Camp) and Kruger National Park (Lukimbi Safari Lodge). Both Lodges were an extraordinary enjoyable experience. Before returning home, we enjoyed the last days in the Macaron Boutique Guest Home and the various Vineyards in Franschhoek.

My daughter and I have long dreamed of visiting the Gorillas in Uganda. Tertius and the EyeseeAfrica team delivered us a seamless adventure even during the very difficult Covid times. The Covid testing process was conveniently organised and done at our hotel. A magnificent hotel choice of Chameleon Hill Lodge on the spectacular Lake Mutanda and of course, seeing the Gorillas up close in the Bwindi Forest was an awe inspiring bucket list experience. We also visited the Golden Monkeys in the Mgahinga National Park, equally as incredible. The people of Uganda are very welcoming and friendly and overall the transfers and attention to detail could not be faulted. I would travel with EyeseeAfrica again, highly recommended.

Now in our golden years ( 69+79) we decided to learn scuba diving - Zanzibar the romantic island with it's blue green warm waters seemed the right destination . Our last Africa trip to Namibia had been a great success thanks to EyeseeAfrica's meticulous planning , therefore one phone call to Tertius and within hours the road map for a new adventure arrived . Is there a corner in Africa Tertius doesn't know ??? he advised and developed another perfect trip for us . What a joy it is to know that all options have been considered, because Tertius reads his clients excellently and won't leave a stone or shell turned over ,making sure the journey runs smoothly . He stood in contact at every step ! the owners of the Dive Center in Nunngwi are his friends who took great care of us , we had an excellent German speaking Dive Master at our side and managed in a few days to get our certificate . As I heard from the owner , Tertius stayed in contact all the time making sure we hadn't been eaten by a big Grouper . We stayed at Zuri Zanzibar a characterful , stylish 5*Hotel with all amenities your heart desires. Every day we were taken by boat to the Dive center , fitted out and then the incredible journey into the coral forests started. Unforgettable !
We are most grateful to Tertius and Eyesee Africa once more for having put together an exciting trip with lots of care, consideration and patience for our endless questions .
WE won't dare to step into Africa without Tertius as we might miss out on something special only HE knows !

Dear Gabrielle and Reinhard Thank you so much for this wonderful review and once again the opportunity to plan this Zanzibar trip for you. I think the best part of our job at eyeseeAfrica is that we are constantly on tour in Africa, travelling through the itineraries of our clients. I was really very excited to follow your progress from, never having dived before to getting your certificate in that week. This qualification is now opening a whole new world of travelling to so many diving hotspots. There are very few holiday options that can beat a tropical beach/diving destination. I heard that you were natural divers too ;) .Don't wait too long before your next dive as it just gets better as you build more confidence and experience. It is also always very nice to hear from our suppliers how wonderful the client is! You have definitely made a lot of new friends in Zanzibar. Thank You!

We were visiting a friend who lives in Capetown but we wanted to see other parts of South Africa and some animals during our visit. Our friend put us in contact with EyeseeAfrica . We were limited by time but from the moment we contacted EyeseeAfrica remained in contact and guided us through our options which were based on time, requirements and price. The accommdation and activities booked through Eyesee were fantastic. Even after we had everything booked and paid for they remained in contact with us to ensure everything was ok and also recommended places to stop along our route. Had we been left to our own devices I am sure we wouldn't have found the gems that were booked for us. I highly recommend visiting South Africa and for the best time use these as your agent. You won't be disappointed!!

We had the most amazing trip to Northern Namibia end of April till mid -May 2024. The scenery was spectacular, all activities organised by EyeSeeAfrica were most enjoyable and interesting.
Our trip took us from Windhoek to Epupa Falls which is on the border of Angola. Staying in a luxurious tented camp on the mighty Kunene River, which acts as the border between the 2 countries was a great experience. The activities which were organised by EyeseeAfrica included a visit to a Himba village and white water rafting down the Kunene.
We also went from West to East Etosha which gave us the opportunity to experience different highlights in Etosha.
EyeseeAfrica organised everything we required including the best lodges with excellent food, to clear concise directions every day to guide us to the next lodge with information enroute on where is best to stop for a coffee etc.
We cannot rate EyeseeAfrica highly enough. Every detail was carefully thought about and sent with clear communication.
We look forward to having EyeseeAfrica organise our next trip in Africa!

Dear Claire & James You have now become our most seasoned Namibia travellers :). Thank you again for putting your trust in us to plan this special "commemorative" trip for you. We are very happy that you enjoyed this "off the beaten track" adventure all the way to Epupa Falls. There is still the Caprivi strip that is waiting for your next adventure to namibia :) All the best!
