This is a great place to relax or just take a moment to chill out while enjoying a takeaway coffee sprawled out on the lawn. Lots of wildlife to be seen from birds, fish, crabs and an occasional dolphin can sometimes be seen swimming nearby...More

I was staying in a nearby hotel & had a couple of hours free before I headed to the airport. I go to Perth several times a year and often walk along The Swan River. I was delighted to explore the Matilda Bay Reserve and...More

We had some problems to find a parking lot, even though it was paid. Eventually, we found a spot. We went for a walk. There were picnic tables and already people were enjoying eating. Nearby was a restaurant as well. The best of it all...More

Great spot for a picnic with a lot of grass to sit on and a lot of shade from the trees. Only a couple of car parks, but you can park on the road, however keep in mind if it’s a public holiday as it...More

Quite a long river bay well developed with grassed parkland, shady trees & white sandy river beach. All facilities for great family picnics

Great place for families. Lots of people putting kayaks in the water. Tents set up under the trees for family picnics. Kids running around amongst the trees. Would be lovely fir picnic tea on a warm night.

Visited here on Sunday morning assuming it was going to be packed with fear of no parking but I was wrong. There was plenty of room for everyone and heaps of free street parking. The river was warm and very clean / clear. Heaps of...More

Great place to relax, have a coffee/meal, swim, walk along the rivers edge. Occasionally you will see Dolphins in close or feeding. When we were there there were three to four Dolphins in a feeding frenzy feeding on a school of fish

I visit here a lot of the time and especially during summer. Whether to launch my kayak or go out fishing in the boat or just to sit on the lawn area to chill. On this occasion we launched a small leisure craft for a...More

Apologies for missing this question. The bet time in Perth is mid to late September. Areas North of Perth are best in August and areas down near Albany flower later still. Look at web sites for Kings Park or Tourism WA.

It is at the back of Kings Park by the river and the university. I would suggest referring to a map for the shortest route from wherever you will be.
