So, we had a day to spend in Riebeek Kasteel after visiting Kloovenburg or however this is spelled. Came into town and checked into The Royal Hotel just across from the wine shop. Went over to see what was going on - have heard a lot about the shop, the tastings and this Anton guy. Got to talk to both him and the staff. Told them I had this request - wanted a certain experience - wanted a fantastic Chardonnay experience - the had a talk going for about 5 minutes and then they decided - handed me a bottle and said. This is what you're looking for. Took the bottle outside and it was a blast. While sippin' this bottle we had a nice talk. It is not a café - it is a wine shop so eat your bread and olives before you go there. But do go!

The first time I went to the Wine Kollective, was at the last Revolution in 2015, as I wanted to buy some of the local wines I tasted that weekend, but was dissapointed as they hardly had any local wine in stock. This visit was the exact opposite, lots of stock of local wines, a very helpful lady serving, and a great selection of wines, many of which you won't find on sale anywhere else.

Hey, stocked with a variety of wines. Kind of a “cool, helpful “ attitude. Wines are mostly from Swartland, including some small guys with 1000 bottle production. Found some upmarket wines as well. Well stocked and interesting shop.
