Sitting on the patio at Het Vlock Casteel looking out of the Valley is an amazingly relaxing experience - particularly accompanied by one of their lovely wines. The real treat, however, is to venture down into the shop and encounter Mr Vlock!! Full of tales of his family and the region (General Jan Smuts comes from here), he is a... More

If you love loives you will have the time of your life. If you do not eat olives, you wil learn to eat them here. I know because my wife did not enjoy olives before we visited Het Vlock Casteel. Now she is loves it! This is a taste experience like no other. So many different styles and so many... More

Mr Vlock is an excellent host and shows true passion for his olive oils. A 5 star experience and their products are so well priced. Quality is brilliant. Have wines as well , but we don't consume alcohol, so can't comment really. The other patrons looked pretty happy though and clients were walking out with box loads of olive oils... More

In a lovely position overlooking the valley (take a picture, it's awesome) I has not expecting to find such an awesome selection of olive products (and wine and more) and so we went around tasting and tasting - and honestly, had to stop ourselves buying every flavour in every product! Came home with the hugest jar of garlic olives, tomato... More

If you are looking for homemade olive products and more...then you must visit Het Vlok Kasteel in Riebeeck Kasteel for an awesome experience. It is a family business which has been running for generations. I drive out there whenever I need a stock replenishment of my favorite smoked black olives in balsamica, jams, balsamic vinegar and olive spreads. These are... More

They have an amazing selection of olive products (among others) in the shop with tasting available of all the products available to purchase. The staff are friendly and helpful especially with explaining the different products and making recommendations. They do have mail-order facilities available and I plan to make use of this once back in Gauteng!

RK isn't the biggest place and there aren't too many places to visit but it's worth putting this one on the list. It's got a very pleasant aspect...take a moment to enjoy the view...and the shop will be a good place to buy some Olive oil or vinegar. A very decent stopping off place on your way through Riebeek Kasteel.
