Hrdly happy place, but very beautiful, mainly Kiwis. Hard to imagine the terror of war, but what a wonderful place to be laid to rest.

We visited the battle fields in December and it was cold. Frost and ice on the ground. It was not snowing or raining that day and there was no one shooting at us. Just wondering how these guys survived even a week in this environment....More

Took family from New Zealand to cemetery and battleground where so many lost their lives in a matter of hours The number of gravestones without names is a sobering moment for contemplation Little parking but normally able to find a space

The battle of Polygon wood is a must for any ANZAC. Ensure you take the long road in and walk the tracks of our past. Old shelters, trenches and cemeteries are all worth visiting... solemn reminder

Another reminder of so many that gave their lives. Lovely woods with well marked footpaths to walk around.

Has Information boards at the cemetery telling you all about the cemetery and woods. A must visit walked in the woods and you come across old bunkers. A very well kept cemetery. A must visit to pay your respects.

A place that has great meaning to those from the Antipodes. Spend some time and try and visualise the woods without any standing trees. Take a visit to the cafe right next door, and check the history and items recovered by locals since war time.
