The one and only way to experience Hogsback - Guided Mountain Bike Tours, Abseiling and Archery.

Mountain Biking:

Our scenic bike tour takes you past numerous waterfalls to hidden viewpoints off the beaten track.

The guide's local knowledge will entertain you with interesting facts about the area while you take in the breathtaking views.

Enjoy a refreshing swim in a natural jacuzzi and a picnic at Robinson Dam. Meander through pine plantations along the old jeep tracks, then enter the indigenous forests where you'll face some single track madness.

Abseiling:

Abseil down a 35m waterfall into the indigenous forests below - an exhilarating alternative to reaching the bottom of the famous Madonna & Child Waterfall.

Archery:

Looking for something safe, easy and fun for the whole family, then try your hand at the age old tradition of Archery.

We participated in the bike tour/abseiling/hiking adventure. It was great. We were able to learn a lot about the history of the area from the nature aspect with the waterfalls, imported trees from around the world and myths of the mountains to the historical impact of the people who lived in the area. Great experience I highly recommend spending a... More

Great experience, guide inspired confidence, and we never felt unsafe. Would have liked to be able to "bounce", however, but the spray from the fall made it too slippery for that.

Hi Thanks for sharing your experience. We are fortunate to have had some rain after quite a long dry spell, so the rivers are very full at the moment, which makes great viewing as you abseil right next to the biggest watefall in the area. It does however make it a little slippery. None the less, it's still as safe... More

Thanks Kenneth, it's our favourite place to be - on top of the watefall overlooking the most amazing, ancient indigenous forests.! It's hard not to be welcoming when we live and work in such beauty.! It's great sharing it with people who appreciate it as much as we do... :-) More

The mountain bike tour through he Arboretum to Madonna and Child was fantastic. Neels is super knowledgeable about the area from history through to fauna and flora, and an all round nice guy. we had a... More

The Abseiling down Madonna and Child waterfall was an amazing experience. Candy and her husband are the nicest people, alot like most of the residences of Hogsback. Since my first trip there I've been recommending Hogsback to everyone, it is a must see. Most beautiful scenery.

Had the most amazing mountain biking experience with some new friends from the Netherlands. The cycling was awesome the views are great. The best part was the great tour guide we had in Neels. He is really a great guide and a fountain of knowledge of the hoggsback area. the waterfalls are really beautiful.

Hi Sean Thanks for the review. After a few weeks off due to an injury, we're glad to have Neels back on the bike. With our small tour group size, it does make it fun and easy to meet new people from across the globe. We're glad you had a good time. Neels and Candy More

When we came everything was fine, we hired 2 bicycles and reserved the abseil. One day in advance, we received an SMS of Candy with direction regards the abseil, because we shall ride to the abseilplace with our mountainbikes. The SMS gave us directions and the communication that we should be there at 14.00 P.M. sharp. At 13.00 P.M. we... More

We're glad to hear you enjoyed the mountain bike tour. It is unfortunate that we could not take you abseiling due to miscommunication. We run our business in a certain way to ensure that we can accommodate everyone and run a smooth operation. There is really no point in us arguing over who said what, but we can assure you... More
