Stopped at this viewpoint on our sightseeing travels around the island.Beautiful views down to Kata and Karon beaches. A few steps to top but nothing too hard. Lady near the entrance with two eagles which you can pay to have your photo taken with.
I highly recommend visiting here for sunset. We did this and sat just down below the viewing tower where everyone else was crowded and I believe we got a better view and it was just the two of us down there.
We decided to go Kata beach , Chanalai garden resort hotel, turned out to be a perfect choice, booked the best sea view room 2800:- baht( yes, much but worth it)

It is just a view point with some steep stairs to the top. We made a quick stop when passing from Naiharn beach. In my opinion it makes no sense just going there for a look. Guess we stayed for 10-15min max.

We saw two dogs sleeping at the very top of the view point. We visited early in the morning, there were no other visitors and the dogs were more than happy sleeping in the sun. They didn't approach us or even give us a second glance. They certainly wouldn't deter us from returning or recommending the attraction to others. Enjoy!
