after dinner in nearby Arundel's strolled up the road to the Ahakista Bar - the tin shed. fortunately the night we were there , there was live music which added to the atmosphere . setting gorgeous.

A visit to the Sheepshead peninsula in West Cork can be crowned with a visit to to the Ahakista Bar. This is known locally as the 'Tin Pub'! There is a beautiful beer garden with beautiful views of Kitchen Cove (a safe anchorage) and Dunmanus...More

Stopped in here for a quiet beer whilst driving through West Cork. Lovely setting right on the water. Great for a refreshment or two.

we used to visit this pub over 25 years ago when a man called pad joe owned it, it was a great pub then it was more like his living room, and by the looks of it is still very much the same great local...More

Great place for a drink or wander in the garden overlooking the Harbour. Unique pub in the quaint village of Ahakista. Hard to leave this wee gem :)

An excellent traditional pub with good beer, fantastic beer garden overlooking the bay and friendly staff! Great way to spend an afternoon (and night!) in West Cork!

Just magical you are little Tin Pub and so glad we found you on our last day here. Oozes authenticity with garden overlooking the sea. Serves no food but that's ok. Very friendly owners and happy to chat. Max is the real host and such...More

If you're in the area it would be a crime to miss this little gem of a place. You could while away a few hours in one of the most laid-back parts of west Cork; it oozes personality and charm! Seriously great craic!

Yes it does close - check with them I think it may be end of September. Hope you get there .
