This was an incredibly beautiful place. The Russian nobility spent money way too lavishly and ultimately they paid with their lives. I am glad they did build places like this because it is fun to see. I especially enjoyed the fountains. Be prepared to walk...More
2500 rubles per person (ferry from st petersburg, plus "park" entrance which they force you to pay at the pier because you are literally trapped there unless u take the next ferry back right away.) Biggest waste of time and money in our whole trip!!
The history of the Romanov's and this place really impact me, I have traveled around the world but the gold and the beauty of this place is something you will never forget. I highly recommend this visit.

You can comfortably skip this place as there is nothing special to see. The true attraction is Peterhof are the gardens and fountains so unless you have a tour guide and pre-arranged program, no need to spend time here

We bought the tickets when we arrived. There were plenty of booths and no queues. You buy the lower garden tickets from the booths and the Palace tickets are obtainable from just inside the Palace. You need to enter the turnstiles and then buy your palace tickets from the other side of the palace, as we got in a queue (which was the group tour queue) which was incorrect. Hope this helps.
