It was such a pleasure and delight to stay in this beautiful cottage on the farm. Everything is neat and clean and the cottage is well equipt. We were surprised by the Knysna Loeries that visited the fig tree, next to the cottage and see them feast on the figs. The horses are friendly and one specific horse came to me to be cuddled. We also enjoyed the pork sausages that Nicky made.

The best farm living experience! We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at the beautiful Kingfisher Cottage (left with sadness in my heart because would've loved to stay longer!). I was in my element with all the beautiful horses I could see each day! We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 hour trail ride. Sam and Ozou are magnificent trail horses. Braveheart stole my heart!
Thanks so much Nicky and Maggie for your great hospitality and for sharing your peace of heaven with us.

We opted for the hour horse trail. Nikki was super friendly and her horses so well behaved. The trail was lovely and meandered through farm land, indigenous forest and several river crossings. The surroundings were stunning and tranquil. I can certainly recommend the experience! A balm for the soul!

Beautiful ride through the fields & forest. Well trained horses & very friendly & helpful staff. We all loved it (especially our preteens). Well worth it despite the resulting stiffness which drove home that it's been more than 20 years since my last ride.

This place was absolutely beautiful. Can't fault a thing. Nicky was so amazing and so accommodating. myself and my friend turned up for an hour and a half trek and it was like nothing we've ever done before. The horses were so calm and so well behaved and the way that they live in herds is amazing. Plus getting to see a few beautiful dogs. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Amazing place to stay. Cottage gorgeous and beautifully furnished. Loved pony trek. Maggie and Nicki so welcoming and friendly. Couldn’t recommend a better place to stay. Nice to get away from crowds in Plett. Close enough to everything too. Really hope to return. 2 nights wasn’t long enough.

My husband and I spent two weeks in the western Cape for our honeymoon. Our host gave us a leaflet for this place and we thought we would give it a go. We cannot recommend the experience more highly. This was, by far, our favourite experience of our whole two weeks - we loved it. Nicky was our guide who was not only extremely friendly but she was professional, knowledgable and enjoyable to spend time with. The farm is located in a stunning part of the area which makes the horse trail quite breathtaking in parts. The horses were so well behaved with excellent natures - thank you Ouzo and Benji and thank you Nicky for giving us such a fantastic morning - it was the highlight of our honeymoon.

Had a great rest, away from the maddening crowd but close enough to sights like Robberg trails for some exercise and Harkerville Saturday market for fresh produce and many other stops along the N2. Great shower that gives you the feel you are showering in the trees. Separate toilet. Well appointed kitchen. And great bed. Friendly staff. What more could you ask for. Thank you Boschrivier Farm.

What an amazing find. A truly beautiful and peaceful space. Thank you Nicky for a amazing experience of archery on horse back for our two boys. They loved it!
Will be visiting your lovely nursery soon and please keep some of your home made jams for me - I am sure they fly of the shelf!
Lot of love to Lena die skaap!
