Inexpensive short and sweet tourist route
Sep 2021 • Couples
Having just arrived in Springbok at around 14h00 we looked at activities and a trip to Goegap was one. We arrived at around 15h00, late for a visit to a reserve but we didn't really have a care. 2 vehicles were signing in before us, about 5 min in total at the office and we were at the gate. Gate check in was a non event. No time for any 4x4 route, We did the 45min tourist route, a circular viewing route with some amazing views. It's a good serene stroll thru a part of the reserve and inexpensive. Worth doing if you have not too much time and want to be outdoors.
Other than the flowers, we saw.some.amazimg picnic spots. Definitely with spending some time at one

Well worth visiting
Aug 2021 • Couples
Beautiful reserve with friendly staff. There are many 4 x 4 tracks, but we just did the circular route. Really stunning nature scenes. One word of advice. The staff were extremely friendly, but it took forever to pay the entrance and fill in forms and then again at the gate lost 10 minutes to checking the paperwork again. How they manage on busy days makes me worry.

Great Scenery
Aug 2021
We visited the Reserve on the 24 Aug 2021 & it was a nice experience. There are many picnic spots throughout the Reserve with some amazing views over the fields of flowers. It takes about 45mins to complete the whole tourist flower route. There are 4x4 routes which cost a bit extra. Accommodation is also available in the Reserve. Day visitors cost R30pp . The Reserve is about 15km outside of Springbok & worth a visit while in the area.

Wilderness camping and flower miracle in Springbok
Aug 2021
Ideally situated within the heart of the Springbok flower miracle. Wilderness camping and a 12km flower viewing drive. A 5-star Sanparks resort for sure.

Great accommodation, friendly staff and beautiful nature!
Jun 2021
me and my group of 14 were to camp at Goegap Nature Reserve during our recent safari to the Northern Cape. Due to a brewing storm, the staff graciously allowed us to upgrade at minimal cost to the group huts which made our stay extremely enjoyable while the winds were gusting and the rain were falling. Great staff!, Great scenery and very affordable! Thanks Goegab!

Dry and desolate (in a good way)
Apr 2021
My friend and I spent two nights camping in Goegap - we had the entire campsite to ourselves. We did a walk (closer to 9km than the specified 6km), which was a great way to see the reserve. We did the 13km light vehicle route and saw the Hantam's zebra. Spectacular quiver trees. Must be a sight in flower season!

A nice Flower hunting venue.
Sep 2020
Include this venue in your itinerary if you are on a "flower hunting trip" because it is easily accessible, roads are very good, lovely scenery and the flowers do not disappoint. Entrance fee also very reasonable.

Namaqualand Flowers
Sep 2020
This quiet lovely piece of Africa was a wonderful surprise on our trip to the Northern Cape. The flowers were still in full bloom and the photo opportunity was magnificent. The reserve was quite well maintained, except for the picnic tables, which should be cleaned regularly

Very interesting reserve
Nov 2019
This reserve is extensive in size and has both 2X and 4X roads. The birding was great when we were there. They do, however have very limited hours only opening at 8 AM and closing at 4PM, except during the flower season when they remain open to 6. I would suggest an early morning visit when temperatures are the coolest
