I would rather go to Summerville beach down the road.
Hunts Point beach is small, beach overlooked by codos , has no facilities at all, not even parking.
Seems no one cared about any coastal protection when permits were passed here for building.
The main road Highway 3 runs next to tbe beach Making walking to the beach difficult and dangerous. Cars and trucks Ignore the speed limits and fly past. There are no sidewalks or pedestrian crossings. The large dump trucks are the worst as their draft sucks you in.... hang onto your kids and pets.

This little place is a real gem. It is quiet, clean, and the beds are very comfortable. Great place to sit back and relax while you listen to the waves.

Little idyllic beach on N.S. South Shore. Lots of other beautiful beaches nearby to stroll on. Find peace and contentment here.

this is a beach you can be alone on. over a 3 day stay in the area only saw 3 other people here, and that is with parking right on the lighthouse route! with the tide out walk up to the wharf and then along the side road back to the beach entrance about 20mins.

My wife's family is from Mill Village, so when we come for our annual visit, we usually hit Hunt's Point Beach with the kids. The beach is fairly well kept, and quiet. There is ample parking, and the beach is just a short boardwalk stroll away.
Our latest visit was in late August, and we found the water relatively warm, and comfortable to swim in.

What a beautiful beach, not over crowded, still very natural. A safe beach to take your family, clean beach! Beautiful Nova Scotia, white sand beach, awesome!

Cold water (a local tells me that it is warmest on September 10th). The water is clear and clean - the sand white and inviting! Great beach!

This is the perfect little beach for children - circular, white sand, you look towards the Wharf with its small fishing fleet. A short walk from the campground and several cottages. Well worth a stop.

We felt like we were being watched like hawks. Quiet time 10:00 pm to 9:00 am. Really, can't even laugh outside on the deck after 10:00 pm. What if you had small children, try to keep them quiet until 9:00 a.m. Not allowed to play washers on the grass, OK, is your grass that precious. There were many "Not Allowed" which ruined our one night stay there. The worse thing of all, had to pay an extra $25 for each person on top of the overpriced rate, now that took the cake. The extra money sure is not to clean up the cottages as we had to do our own dishes and the cabins could have been cleaner anyway. Oh, and try and get a hairdryer without the third degree, that was something. And no BBQ's in case some of you want to save money and make your own meals, not gonna happen there. Go somewhere else that is more inviting......
