Definitely a worthwhile trip whilst visiting Madeira. We also appreciated the fact it’s a free activity and not too commercial. Views are breathtaking a truly fabulous experience.

Fantastic view a few kms from Funchal. Worth visiting, after a steep climb, one is surprised by the beautiful scenery and the walk on the glass floor.

We visited the Cabo Girao yesterday... The weather was perfect! The view was absolutely and literally breathtaking!! A wonderful experience being among clouds! Definitely worth visiting but beware... It can be challenging for people who are afraid of heights or have acrophobia!

A visit to Madeira isn't complete without a trip to the glass viewing platform at Cabo Girao,. 580m above sea level, this viewing platform enables you to see the sea below and is a great place to admire the spectacular scenery of Madeira. Some may...More

A great little spot with stunning views. Can get busy when the coaches arrive but we were lucky to catch a moderately quite period and this allowed us to take in the stunning setting we were in. Personally, I would have loved it to be...More

This was our first stop on our tour of the west of Madeira. With the glass floored viewing platform, this is one of the most amazing places on the island with utterly wonderful views out over the Atlantic Ocean and especially down to the shore,...More

The only negative here is the parking.... similar to all major attractions in Madeira, if the place is busy then parking can be a nightmare! That said, this is possibly the best laid out attraction of it's type that we have seen in the world-...More

We visited this as part of a West Island tour. The views from this point are simply beautiful. This has been one of the highlights of our holiday activities.

Make sure to hit this spot early before the bus load of crowds. Definitely worth a quick visit though. When visited there were barriers to limit the number of people at the view point, so may be queues at busier times.

You can reach Cabo Girao using the hop on hop off tour bus from Funchal The yellow one from memory. We travelled from Funchal using the service bus to Camara De Lobos and then used the little tourist train to the top. This was fine...More

Many of the roads in and around the area are very narrow, just barely allowing two way traffic. That being said, that is true of nearly all the roads in Madeira outside of the main VR routes. I wouldn't say they are... More

Hello. I don't think it's really called the Noddy Train! It's really a 'road train' that starts alongside a coffee shop a couple of streets above the harbour. If you Google 'Madeira Green Train', you'll find it. I hope this... More
