There’s a little stall at the side of the road that you need to buy a ticket at. Tours leave every hour. The people there were unfriendly to us for no reason, which made us feel unwelcome. We were the only people who did the tour and tried to make small talk with the guide but she barely responded and seemed uninterested in giving the tour. I have noticed Croatians often aren’t interested in ‘social niceties’ but this was really uncomfortable. The tour is briskly paced and it’s mostly climbing up and down stairs (same way in as out), so not recommended with toddler aged children.

Vertiginous staircases descending 70m underground through what looks like a spaceship designed by Geiger channelling Lovecraft? Yes please! Also it's 8 degrees Celcius even in the middle of Summer, which is a blessed relief. Tour is well worth the money; engaging, informed and multilingual guide really made the experience.

Truly amazing place to see. The tour guide was really nice and we were surprised by the warm and peaceful feeling while walking through this beautiful nature underground.

We were here in August with two 6yr kids in a random have-a-rest jump from the highway. No prior calls or requests. We just found a ticket office on the cave parking and bought the tickets. Despite we had to wait an hour before the next guided tour to the cave, we desided to visit it. And it definitely worth. The cave visits are possible only in a group of 5-6+ people with the guide every 2 hours (10:00, 12:00, 14:00...). It seams there are always some other people willing to go in the cave, so the group is not a problem. The cave is really beautiful, not very long and is comfortable in terms of ups and downs due to good light, stairways and walkways installed there. You'll see monster-shaped walls, stalagmites, internal river etc. You'll hear the story of the discovery and more. The guide was English speaking and was very helpful and nice. Get dressed for +8°C inside the cave. Shoes must not be too slippery. It's about 50 minutes walk with ups and downs around 75 meters deep.

We decided to visit the cave after reading the reviews and it being on route to our next destination. It definitely didn't disappoint especially at only 50kn per person. Included in the price is a tour guide and throughout the tour he gives you information about the cave. The tour takes about 1hr, with a short walk to the cave entrance. The cave has lots of stairs and can be slippery but fitness level doesn't need to be high. Worth it for sure! :)
