We arrived by car and struggled with finding a parking space as it was so badly organized. Once we walked in we were confused about where to go as no members of staff were able to give us any information on what to do or where to go, only thing we were told was that we couldn’t go upstairs where a presentation was held in Croatian. We were promised 10-15 minutes until the English presentation would start. Then, 20 minutes later, we were able to go upstairs to the room where we then were sent downstairs as most people in the room were Croatian speaking and were told to leave. The next tour was again held in Croatian after which we have left without a tour, despite the long drive to the observatory. If you don’t speak Croatian I can sadly not recommend a visit to this observatory.…

The visnjan observatory it 3 min avay from.visnjan ...in a small vilage named tican...placed on around 320 m high...one of the highest place around...have to visit and take a look...

Really friendly people when myself and my friend arrived unplanned just to see it from the outside in the daytime. Luckily for us they were inside making technical adjustments in preparation for a lunar eclipse to track and asteroid but they let us in and once they realised my background was in lasers and laminar air flow they were delighted and we had a great conversation and showed us loads. It is only open to visitors every Thursday night from 9pm to 10.30pm as far as I could tell but planning to bring the kids to the open show tomorrow night.…
