Firstly, a couple of the other reviews seem to be a little confused between Montana Cuervo and some of the other (bigger and harder to walk) route. We travelled as a couple with our 1 year old son who we carried in a rucksack style...More

Montaña Cuervo is an extinct volcano that was part of the 1730 series of eruptions that changed the landscape of Lanzarote. Once you pass the big volcanic rock pillars that mark the boundary of the Municipality of Tinajo on the LZ56 road you can see...More

Easy to get to with good off road parking and clearly defined footpath. The whole walk is about 4km if you take in the walk to the bottom of the dormant volcano. We found it very educational and worthwhile, although it looks like the authorities...More

Really a great walk around the rim of the Vulcano. We spend 2,5hrs walking the 10km from the parking lot around the top and back again. So beautiful and very unspoiled since no signs, fences etc. Is anywhere to be found on the trail.

I have been to a few volcanic regions so this was not really out of the ordinary to me. It is interesting walking through the lava fields. I would recommend decent footwear.

Park at the free carpark and then follow the trail to the volcano, round the outside and inside. Display boards explain the details of what you can see. A very good guide to the volcanic eruption that you can see close up for yourself. This...More

It was really cool to walk around and inside this volcano. We had lunch here (being careful to take all our rubbish out) enjoying the suntrap. We also saw some lizards. If you are not a very adventurous walker this is the perfect destination, you...More
