This fairly new national park - our cottage was only built in 2014 - is the ideal getaway for people who want to get away from all and sit and stare at the sea from a shady porch. The cottages are well-equipped and pleasantly furnished...More

This was our second visit. During the December holidays, the coastal areas are extremely busy, but the chalets within the park were pure bliss. We had total privacy, beautiful views of the ocean and the accommodation was superb. The wooden raised chalets among fynbos are...More

Great to be in such a fantastic place. The seas were enormous, dramatic and mesmerising to watch. It was a beautiful clear day and such a moving place to be. Get the photo, you will remember it forever.

Very neat, well run and inexpensive accommodation. In a magnificent setting overlooking the sea, fynbos and coastal rocks, with many easy walks and a lot to see in the surrounding towns and countryside. Like the southernmost point of Africa, shipwrecks etc.

Hi , We are coming to Cape Agulhas National Park in Jan.,2017 . How are the road conditions over there ? We intent to stay over at the family chalet over there. We would driving a Corolla/mid size Sedan. Would it be a safe ride driving this vehicle up till the accommodation areas in the National Park, as i had read that 5km of the stretch is a gravel road. Thanks

Hi Roger (and others??) Thanks for the review of Cape Agulas. I note that there seem to be four 'rest camps.' In which one did you find these newish chalets? Can you recommend one in particular -- either a particular chalet, or one do the 'rest camps' that contain the better ones? We're planning to go next September.
