We had a great Scenic Flight over Walkersbay with Dave, our pilot from African Wings. He picked us up from the landing strip at Grootbos (where we stayed for the weekend) and gave us a fantastic experience! In our 30 minutes flight, we have seen sharks, seals and a lot of whales! And our walk (flight) over the beach with 200km per hour was really spectacular. When you have the chance, this is really a must-do while visiting the Walkersbay Area,

Our scenic flight with African Wings was the highlight of our visit to Stanford. Dave, the pilot, was a fantastic host and guide taking us over the Dyer Island seal colony, spotting a Great White shark as well as a low pass along the beach at Walker Bay. Dave both shared his knowledge of flying with my aviation enthusiast husband as well as giving us a spectacular flight over the stunning countryside and beach around Stanford. We highly recommend this experience to flyers and nature enthusiasts alike.

We have done a couple of boat whale watching tours, but this was a whole new experience. David is very nice and an experienced pilot and guide. We saw loads of whales, a great white and two albino whale babies. Highlight of our trip (October 2018). Thank you!

We drove out from Cape Town to Stanford to do some whale spotting. Unfortunately we had missed the whales, however we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience of being in the air with David. We had a bird's eye tour of the lovely scenery and the weather was just perfect. We were in good hands and we had a lot of fun in the plane. We would recommend this experience!

We had a 1 hour whale flight and we enjoyed it very much. Seeing whales from the air is quite a special experience. David -the pilot- made sure everything was safe and did a very good job showing us the whales!
We can highly recommend a whale flight with African Wings!

Thanks a lot David! This trip is a must have for everyone who wants to see and photograph whales. We did it in October 2019 and it was really fascinating how close you can see the animals without disturbing them. It was like David said: We flew like birds!

We spent some great 30 minutes with David in the sky. We felt completely safe and really enjoyed the flight. David knew where the whales were on that day. So we got the most out of these 30 minutes. Really worthy to do it. 👍
And if you with him in the sky enjoy the “beach walk” 😉.

Amazing 5star 45minute whale watching trip with David even for a nervous flyer like myself. David was an excellent pilot and put me at ease. It was totally worth it as we saw at least 15 whales!
My boyfriend also had the incredible experience of flying - literally driving a plane for the first time. The scenery and knowledge of the animals were exceptional. Thanks so much David! X

110% recommend taking a whale watching flight with David at African Wings. He is so knowledgeable, accommodating and professional. Thoroughly enjoyed my flight and got to see plenty of whales!

David is clearly so passionate about these animals, as well as making sure his customers have the best possible experience, and he will do everything he can to ensure you get stunning views/photos of the whales.

Cannot highly recommend this experience enough.
