Well worth the short drive from the ring road although the road is a bit narrow. I would suggest taking the 715 rather than the 714- better road with more pull offs. The Daeli guesthouse along the route was great as well. Beautiful waterfall in...More

We stopped here advised by TripAdvisor. It was a 15 minute drive on a gravel road to get here from highway 1. It was an impressive waterfall that we would have overlooked otherwise. We were the only tourists at the time, which made it a...More

This was by far the highlight of my day. Every corner I turned it was a new view or another waterfall!! I parked past the bridge and took the path all the way to the very bottom (tricky at parts). It was windy and cold...More

This is the most easily accessible attarctions where you can basically drive up to the front of the attactions. There is a vehicular bridge across the river just infront of the waterfall. The big waterfall is called Kolufoss. This bridge provides ideal spot to take...More

Kolugljúfur canyon and Kolugljúfur waterfalls are great to visit. About 10 minutes south of the ring road, the falls and very easy to get to and very peaceful to enjoy. If the weather is nice, bring some food and enjoy a picnic.

It is not one of the big, touristic waterfalls of iceland, but i loved it! Especialy the beautifull canyon in to which the river runs.

This waterfall is very close to Hvammstangi and is about 5 Kms from the Ring road. It is a gravel road so slow down. It is beautiful and one can see it on either side of the one lane bridge. It is possible to get...More

What a spectacular scenary this is. Truly a small hidden gem I would reccomend to everyone to go and see. I would reccomend this experience to both Icelanders as well as turists. Not a long drive from the main highway.

I am not sure you can rate nature but this certainly is a beautiful spot. I see someone rated it average, wow tough reviewer or what. Iceland has a million (it seems) waterfalls and this one is well worth exploring. I wonder how many tourists...More

I like the fact that you can walk under the bridge really close to the waterfall, and then continue to gorge which is so deep and you can see another waterfall from there. Very very nice place!
