It was our first visit to a canyon and Sesriem canyon was really pretty! If you are staying in Sesriem and have time, you can head there as it is just a 5 mins drive away from the NWR Sesriem campsite.

We stopped here on our way out of Sossusvlei. It is close to the entrance to the park. This is not the Grand Canyon but still interesting, especially if you are a geology buff (which I am not!).

The canyon is only about 30m deep, a lot smaller than others we have visited around the world but has an interesting history. The trip from our hotel (Kulala Lodge) made it into a good experience. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

This canyon was such an eye opener- it was like seeing a geology history lesson in action. Superworthwhile, and so relaxing. Not a big walk, but cool in the afternoon, and really interesting

This is Canyon is small, but with an interesting history, worth making the effort to visit if you have the time.

This was an interesting site but after the dunes was not as spectacular. If running short of time, view from the top to see the depth. A walk to the bottom gives scale to the place.

Do not compare this place to Antelope lower or upper in America because totally different, but I was.

Yet unexpectedly you descend again to 40m depth. This Canyon was eaten by the Tsauchab River. It is quiet here.

49 minutes drive (35 miles) - easy drive but you need a 4x4 vehicle or ford pickup style one as roads are mixed.

No , by no way - stay safe - it`s down - and rather steep in a few places - so it`s not for someone that has second thoughts about his knees ...no jeep sorry !
