About
With its thermal baths, hydro-massage tubs and cardiovascular hydrotherapy trails, a Finnish Sauna with Argillarium, the Spa facility of Terme di Saturnia is one of the largest in Italy. A vast spa area entirely given over to wellness. Here it is possible to take dips in the warm sulphurous vapours and enjoy the benefits of thermal hydro-massage. Lulled by the water, with its naturally warm temperature of 37° C and the sounds of the surrounding nature, the body relaxes, and the skin becomes smooth in a way that is totally natural. The experience may be integrated with beauty treatments, even of a limited duration, or spa treatments in the nearby SPA & Beauty Clinic. The Bistrot serves breakfast, lunch, snacks and aperitifs beside the pool.

I didnt like this place. I have paid like 45 euros plus for the road to get there. But this place is full of local pensioners and old ppl. Maybe because they have a lot of discounts there. It was not possible to use any hydromassage because the old ones occupied everything. I took one but was attacked by couple of local crones. There are not young ppl or tourists at all. So I didn't like this place. Maybe I will try the other spa in Italy but without retarders

Dear Customer,
We thank you for your feedback.
We are sorry that you did not enjoy the experience at our Thermal Park. From our side, we definitely do not see any reason to make a selection of our guests based on their age. After all, it is a place dedicated to the relax, in a beautiful and quiet countryside.

A restful way to spend an afternoon in the warm waters of the pools. The waterfall is fantastic for neck and shoulders. The bar has a good range of drinks. Food choices are limited.

Largest spa with many concrete pools and lounge chairs. Off season is not crowded and water is only 94 degrees Fahrenheit. So a bit too cool. There is a warm sauna. Must be super crowded in summertime. We bought our tickets beforehand online on their website. Easy.
Cleanliness is only 3 out of 4. Some floaters in the pool. I think was bird poops. Locker room with locking lockers is secure. Limited showers. Soap canisters empty. No shampoo.
Towels, Terry robe and slippers provided with entry fee.
Large complex of concrete pools fed with slightly sulphurous natural hot spring water.
This is not the nearby natural Cascada rock springs 4 minutes drive away. We were glad we came here instead. To avoid the slippery algae rocks. The other Cascada admission is “free” but they charge for parking etc. bring your own water shoes there.
They have massage available. We didn’t do it became it’s a long walk away and expensive.
On-site restaurant is very good. Inexpensive sandwiches and hot food.

Dear Guest,
We would like to thank you for your kind review.
We are glad to hear that your experience with us was positive and relaxing. In the meantime, we are taking into account your suggestion regarding the dressing rooms and toiletries provided, in order to improve our services. We would like to point out that the floaters you saw in the surface of our water is most probably the Bioplancton, which comes from the earth and when it comes into contact with air forms a gelatinous organic-mineral substance, similar to an algae. This is the exclusive and precious active ingredient which is renowned for its extraordinary exfoliating and normalizing properties.
We are looking forward to welcoming you again in the future.

Thermal pools are good. Was is really disappointing is the personnel at the entrance. No smiles, every question you ask is like asking a personal favor, no smiles. If it was my place I would probably fire 75% of the staff.

Wonderful place : the view, the garden, the pools. Your day is perfect! Just staying in the water and having this magic result for all your body
Unluckily the restaurant has high prices for little portions. 8 euro for a soup in a little container> The sides the same: little portion. The quality of food is good, but they should be more honest with the quantity of food. Not enough! I brought bread from the hotel and some vegetables. This is not correct.
The female changing room was always fool, because the hair dryers are really bad: the air that comes out is a lille and not really hot. You need to spend a lot of time to dry your hair. During covid we should avoid crowded places, but I guarantee this changing room was really full. I run away without drying my hair.
When you take the shower some of them are not ok: the water is a little, turning the temperature of the water was impossible because broken.
The entrance in this place is not cheap at all, consequently you expect to find the perfect place!

I would start saying that the definition of: "a source Beauty unique in the world" as per Google search is not the correct way of describing it. I was driving for 3h just to go here and it was not worth it. Lets not speak about the sulfur smells which nobody mentioned.
The place is a normal natural thermal spa for all ages and is smaller then in the pictures. Or maybe some of the pools and facilities were closed because of Corona, I'm not sure.
Either ways Terme of Saturnia are a group of Springs separated one from another; So check properly before you decide to go and where. Some free and some you have to pay to enter but the parking spaces are for free.

Dear Guest, thank you for the review.
The thermal system of Saturnia is an unicum in the world. The hydrostatic pressure from the subsoil pushes the water inside the Spring at the center of the Resort. Its flow potency is among the highest in the world: 500 liters / second! It feeds the pools of the Hot Spring facility and then it flows to the iconic "Cascate del Mulino".
All this works thanks to Nature. No human or technical manipulations at all.
The quantity of water allows the pools to renew their basins by themselves 6 times per day.
And yes, the sulfur component smells. The waters are rich in sulfur, bicarbonate ions, calcium, magnesium and free carbon dioxide which make them a powerful natural medicine. Sulfur, in particular, is a powerful bactericide, but also the key element of antioxidant molecules, useful in the fight against bacteria, free radicals and in promoting longevity. "The largest natural open air aerosol in the world".
The entrance to the Hot Spring Pools, gives access to a park of 20,000 square meters, immersed in the Saturnia valley, and consists of 5 thermal pools, a finnish sauna, whirlpools, cascades for the back hydro-massage and vascular paths - a facility, always supervised by our medical team.
It gives you also access to the changing rooms, showers and parking for free.
We are sorry to hear that for you Terme di Saturnia is "normal", since for us is something extra-ordinary!
But perhaps we are too in love with this magic to be objective. Hoping you want to reconsider your judgment and come back to appreciate the greatness of Terme di Saturnia, we send you our best regards.

The waters are warm and have medicinal properties. The park is very large and one can not get bored here. The food in the restaurant was bad.

I went here with my mum and grandma for one relaxing day. There are 3 big thermal pool at 36 C (very hot!) with hydro massage and little falls. There’s a kid pool, outdoor and indoor pools. You have to pay 25€ for the pass, but also 5€ more to rent white towel because of the dress code.

The place is very nice. We chose the club entrance ticket, so we had access to both thermal baths and to reaxing spots with lounge chairs. I really liked it, we had a good time there. The price might be a bit expensive but it's quite worth it. Notice that there is a strong smell of sulphur.

My suggesiton is to spend only 2 hours or so in the afternoon before they close (at 5pm). As the water is full of sulfur you might feel a little dizzy after being in the water for a while. Especially if you have kids.
Staff was nice and the place was very comfortable inside and the outdoor area.

Hi
We are planning a vacation to Italy in the second and third week of March 2020. I was wondering about weather in Montepulciano and Tuscany area in March and also if the thermal springs can be used in mid March.
Thank you!
