Visit the stone circle easily from the parking area. These stone circles feature burial cists at each one. Check it out.

We walked the 2 Km or so, passed the cairns, down from Kilmartin and enjoyed the stroll. The stone circle is interesting and in a good pastoral setting. It was nice to sit under the trees and watch the shadows from the stones move over...More

We stopped here for a look at the stones, not realising how many there are along a dedicated foot route. Interesting history and well preserved sites. Lovely area and great views. Good free attraction for all ages. Wear suitable footwear!

Hours can elapse while spotting the alignments to the surrounding landscape for whatever reason these stones were planted here. “Possibly ritual” is the usual guess trotted out when we have no idea. However, speculation is part of the joy of visiting these amazing places. Clearly...More

Really fascinating for ancient history buffs. Standing stones, lovely countryside. Atmospheric. Good dog walking too!

Although approx 40 miles from we were staying and bad weather conditions enjoyed the visit, good boots required and wrap up well at this time off year but is truly good day out.

The picture here is about the Kilmartin stones, not about the temple wood circle. This circle is extraordinary - it is a magic place of strong feelings and energies, which come from the land. Here is the source of the Celtic culture, not appreciated, not...More

In the whole area, this is my favourite place to walk to of all. Obviously the stones themselves are fantastic but the trees add a certain fairy atmosphere to the place. Best seen when the sun is low to cast long shadows through the trees.

I truly loved seeing this! By the side of the road ... completely free and utterly fascinating! Maybe it was my Scottish guide 😊but truly this will capture your imagination. The standing stones remind me of Stonehenge and you can't help wondering what occurred here...More
