A great Friday night out entertaining
A must try when you visit Barbados and go on a Friday night ,food is tasty and and there is a great atmosphere, We got the bus there and back which is the bet way to get to Oistin's fish fry very straight forward to do. The place gets very busy so get there early if your eating we ate at uncle Georges which was very good and trust me it gets busy but well worth the wait. when you have eaten have a wonder round look at the stalls set up and then watch the entertainment on the main stage and then just mingle.

    Great experience! Fun evening out
Spent a week in Barbados, and the hotel desk said this was a must experience and glad i took their advice! Took the bus down for $2 and got there around 630. By that time, there was already a huge line for Pat's, the preferred vendor. So get there early. Besides endless food vendors, there are local crafts and plenty of souvenirs. Music is blasting, which sets a great vibe, and everyone is having fun. Bajan Michael Jackson performance was excellent. Great performers all around. The food is fantastic too. If you're not into fish, there is a KFC and Chefettes right there. It's definitely worth visiting if you can go on a Friday night. Would highly recommend

    Fish and Michael Jackson
Busy place, absolutely loads of places to get some good fish and loads of beers and rum punch. There's parking behind the KFC/Casino but make sure get there early as the whole of Barbados turns up for this. The entertainment was brilliant, look out for the Michael Jackson dancers..

It’s worth a visit - jump on a reggae and soak up the atmosphere
We visited this place on oistins Friday fish night and many other days/nights throughout the week Going for the mad experience of Friday fish night is a must, loud, mental busy and certainly not boring. The show was ok (not Michael Jackson fan), the dancers were worth a watch. If your after soaking up the experience rather than struggling to find a place to sit and eat, this place is a must. we actually preferred Saturday night, it was still a good night and maybe not all stalls open, but you could eat the same food, yet find a table to eat and Enjoy the food. Ask for a flask of rum, coke and ice, a right bargain. We ate at chillin and grillin on Friday night (nice), Pats Place through the week and several other places, prices very similar and food pretty much the same. We even went for breakfast and had a lovely BLT at one of the little huts near the main road through the week on the way to the cash point after the bus stop. We drank in the local bar at the front of oistins, very friendly, we also drank in the bar over the road from oistins and sat at the balcony with a flask of rum and people watched from above, a little quieter. We will definitely make a point of visiting oistins the next time we are lucky enough to be back in Barbados

    Great athmosphere
If you're in Barbados on a Friday night then you have to have this on your itinerary... It definitely feels more geared towards tourists but the music and vibe is well worth it and the food is really good. They have a main stage with dancers and DJ playing music and plenty of places to grab a bite or beer. They have decent toilet facilities and we had a good night, if you venture past the market stalls selling local souvenirs you are right on the beach and there's a small pier nearby as well.

    Barbados experience
Good night out from a change to the hotel scenery. It gets very busy with both locals and tourists. Drink is very cheap for eg. 2 bottle of banks beet and a bottle of Coke 10.50 Barbados dollars. Take the reggae bus 3.50 Barbados dollars, they are an added experience to the night. Mixture of dance acts mainly to Michael Jackson songs and then music with I think a local radio DJ. Didn’t sample the food as arrived late and most tables weren’t available. If you do want food I suggest arriving between 5 to 6 ish.

Great food, heavy bass ruins the music
We booked through the hotel to be dropped off and picked up, We got there around 6pm just as the place was starting to fill up. We had a look around at the different vendors who are all trying to get you to sit down at their venues except the main ones such as Mo’s etc. these were already rammed. We chose one overlooking the square. I’ve seen reviews of peoples preferences but if I’m honest I think there all much the same. The selection was red snapper, swordfish, lobster, flying fish etc. I chose red snapper which was amazing. Half way through eating the DJ kicked in and whilst the music was good I think they slipped on the bass and forgot to put it back down. The food and drinks service was slow as you would imagine due to the number of people but it was certainly worth the wait. The fish was beautiful. We then went for a walk round the site with huts to buy things from, the usual touristy stuff with a price premium on. The main stage kicked off and again the music was ok but with heavy bass. I think this would be great for couples or families with older children. The taxi back to the hotel was at 9.15 which we felt was too long for our group. All in all it was a good experience with the food and ambience but if we went again we’d get our own transport there and back.

Over priced Tourist trap but the food was good
As I have said in the title - it's a tourist trap - but if you have done your research you already know that. A Banks beer normally cost $3 but here it costs $6 or 7. The food we had (fish) was lovely and there is a good atmosphere about the place and lots of market stalls to wander around and look at.

A must for Friday night in Paradise!
Such an amazing evening from start to finish. Very efficient transport and hosted table on arrival. Don't miss the turtles from the jetty while your fish is frying. We had the dolphin! Delicious! After meal we grabbed a frozen cocktail and browsed the stalls before catching an outstanding Michael Jackson tribute on the stage! A must for your Friday evening in paradise ✨

Ate at Chillin and Grillin. Very good fresh fish. Would go again. Took the #11 bus but driver drove past Oistens and had to drop us on his way back around which meant a delay overall. Nice.

We arrived in Barbados the day prior to our Sandals vacation and decided to try Oistens. The quantity of food is enough to feed two people easily, price is great, and quality is just ok. The experience was also ok, not great for us. If we missed out on a resort meal for Oistens, total disappointment.

Was so excited to see what all the fuss was about. We had 4 young kids with us so decided to go early around 5pm as we heard it gets very busy around 7pm and within 5 mins of being there, I was high on the fumes of all the weed they were smoking, people harassing us to donate money, and then the cherry on the cake was when a white crack head decided to slap some local bajan guy round the face right in front of me and my kids, and before you know it, bottles were being thrown right over our heads, a stamped of all the locals chasing the crack head, in which we were right in the middle of it, scared for our life, and then some big dude ran over with a baseball bat and started smashing the crack head of the head, in which he fell on the floor and was continued to be beating up with crates and bats from a few more locals. We left there traumatised !!!

Fish fryday at oistins is something to see it gets very busy and hectic. The food is very very good and the music just doesn't seem to stop ever. If you want food I suggest you go earlier than later as the queues get very long.

We went on a Wednesday as we thought the Friday scene would be too busy for us. Ate at George’s. Enjoyed the food well enough. Fish was very good; the starches were ok. Still a fun atmosphere on a Wednesday.

Was a good experience, the food was nothing to get excited about. Went on a non crazy busy night as the lineups can be an hour wait depending on time of year. If you like loud and people watching you will love this place on a Friday/Saturday.

Not for us!

Tacky tourism we would call it.
Dined on a Friday then the following Wednesday. Pats place first then Mo's.... both fish meals (barbecue) & both equally tasty.
Friday entertainment not to our liking (tourist driven & we thought tacky)...... but drinks all good prices & lots of people seemed to be enjoying.
We left 10pm(ish) on the Friday. Wednesday evening virtually empty.
BUT.... its on the to do list for a Friday when in Barbados.... (Wonder who makes these "to do" lists up)

A must do experience if you are visiting Barbados! Live music and great food. We got there about 7pm and queues for food were very long, we did wait a while before getting . We ate at Uncle Georges which was fantastic and has a lot of history. The fish was fresh and tasted amazing. It is busy with lots of people so if that is not your thing, best to avoid. Otherwise, a great fun experience!
