We had a tour of Grein Castle-the castle is occupied so that is unique, there are antlers mounted everywhere a "diamond vault" (a ceiling with a diamond cut) and a grotto. It is a lovely stop.

Grein is located at a picturisque scenic valley, along the Danube. The Greinburg castle was originally from 1490. The beautiful courtyard and gardens are well maintained. Really interesting to visit.

This privately owned castle is truly a treasure. Not the usual stop but well worth the trip. We had a splendid tour.
