At first they shortly explained us the processes of making their rums and than, the degustation. It is more focused on the tasting, but the rums are good. The visit will not take longer than 1 hour. It was nice experience

Definitely one of the highlights in Chamarel - we ended up liking this more than a few other attractions in the area! Great views around and the rhumerie is set amongst the sugarcane fields and black river forest so it’s got an old charm to...More

Excellent value with entry fee including 7 rums to try so you don't want to be driving after. Luckily we used the free bike from Lakaz Chamarel to bike down and walk up the hills but quite entertaining going back. The guide was superb and...More

An interesting place where you can see how the local rum is made. The whole visit lasts about an hour, and about half of that time is devoted to the testing of rum and liqueurs produced here. It's a bit too expensive for me. There...More

It was interesting to hear about their history, but the rum itself wasn’t that good. Of course it’s a personal opinion, but the tasting didn’t convince me to buy any rum. Maybe the rum that was included in the tasting experience at an additional price...More

The buildings were beautiful and I really did want to visit, especially having tried a lot of the different rums Chamarel has to offer. After paying, we had to wait at the foyer for about 15 mins until there were enough tourists for the english...More

This was the first stop on our tour of attractions in Chamarel. It is in a beautiful location surrounded by trees and flowers. The tour can be taken via a French or English guide, and costs just under £10. We were shown the various stages...More

Prices vary dramatically from 20 to 300 Euros. In my opinion, the rum is not very good compared to the Caribbean and Central America. If you really need a bottle, the Lazy Dodo is quite cheap and makes an okay souvenir. I... More
