I can’t recommend highly enough. From booking the trip, to being picked up at the resort, the experience was easy and excellent. The Koka team are professional, fun, and really made this a fantastic day. It was choppy the day we snorkelled, with some nervous school children on board as part of a trip. The team were reassuring, kept close, gave great tips made sure everyone, what ever your snorkeling level, had a fabulous time. The lunch was so yum and plentiful. The entertainment was hilarious. Such a great day for all ages. Something very special about listening to pacific beats cruising around the beautiful Muri waters. Blessings Koka team, you guys are awesome 🌺😀

This was an amazing trip. We decided at the last minute to do the lagoon cruise, and we were not disappointed. The guys brought great energy with the singing, drums and guitars and got customers involved. I would recommend this trip to anyone visiting Rarotonga.

This was crazy good. Hugely funny and entertaining, yet it was also very educational. The stars are the "Koka Boys" who do it all, they emcee, sing, dance play ukuleles and drums, cook food, dive for huge clams and show us everything about coconuts, from climbing, husking, making them into shampoo and more. We got Captain Awesome who is from Nassau island and is apparently the world fastest coconut palm climber and he proved it, zooming up a tall tree on the island and bringing down a coconut in 8 seconds! We were picked from around Raro and processed for a 10am departure on 2 glass bottom boats, I was on the smaller one, after being told the weather forecast for Rarotonga was "beautiful" we set off and then started playing music and explianing the protection of the lagoon and then about 20mins later we stopped and they showed us how to open a coconut and then we all went swimming in the lagoon with many fish pauas and eels everywhere. It was just amazing. After that we went to the island and had a very filling lunch, whilst the captains went into the musical mode, with drums and ukuleles. Then it was the show which was hilarious, we learnt all about coconuts, how to open them, age them and how no part of the nuts or the trees and leaves was wasted and how traditional Polynesian culture could live comfortably off a coconut tree. There was lots of audience participation and warmth. Then a nice lagoon swim and it was over. There was a laid back feel, but really hugely organised with the hosts and Captains aware on safety offering life jackets and nets to stop possessions getting wet and their English was impeccable. One captains job (Everyone was Captain something arather - I think we had Brown Sugar and a huge dude on the island who was playing the largest ukulele), was out in a pilot speedboat going ahead to make sure the way forward was safe and guiding the 2 tourist boats out and in. Yet out of his boat, he was into all of the ukulele playing and jokes like everyone else. They really include you in the proceedings and the professionalism shows through. At $109 per person, this is insanely good value and they sweat blood to make it good for everyone. Me a lone middle aged gay man had the time of my life!

What an amazing day. The crew we had, Captain Sprite, Captain Brown Suger and Captain Sharkbait Uh Haha were great entertainment and kept us leading and sing while on the lagoon. The food was excellent we had on no touch island. The coconut tree climber was of the chain.

There are toilets in the carpark by the lagoon cruise centre plus 2 toilets on One Foot Island where you have lunch. ( No toilets on board the boat)

Is the boat wheelchair accessible?

Yes - but the boat does not have a wheel chair ramp - we were on a trip where there was a person in a wheel chair and the Koka guys carried him and his wheel chair on board. But just a reminder that on the island where the food and coconut show is on it is not wheel chair friendly (all sand and no concrete foot paths)

We are a party of four and will be in Rarotonga on February 7th aboard the Maasdam. One of us uses a walker but can navigate a short flight of stairs. Would there be space for his walker on the boat and could we be picked up and returned to where we tender in? Thanks!

As said, the staff are amazing and would do all they could to help; chair lift you across the sand and into the boat probably! The whole experience is great but the loos will be an issue with a walker, they're through a sandy path on the island where lunch is held. Having said that though, if you have the slightest mobility without the walker the day will be worth the effort!

My husband and I are keen to do the glass bottom boat tour when there end of May this year. I travel in a wheelchair with limited mobility (able to take assisted small steps) so am concerned about whether I'll be I'll be able to get on and off the boat.
Please advise what access is like to get onto the boat to start as well as getting off and on at the beach
Thank you

The boat we traveled in was not wheel chair accessible. To access the boat you traverse sand, wade through the water about 10-15 feet, and step up stairs. It is the same in reverse to get off the boat to go on the island for meal and activities. The island is definitely not wheelchair accessible. They would have to make modifications to the boat to get a wheelchair on board.
I will arrive on Fred Olsen cruise ship Blackwatch on 10/02/17 'early am' Can I book your glass bottom cruise
