This is a beautiful National Park. the scenery is unrivaled. you drive through mountains and plains. We spotted a lot of animals in our own car and the next day we did a morning gamedrive (05.00hrs) when we saw lions! What a gamedrive that was!!!!

This is a must-do when traveling through the Hantam Karoo. We stayed in the park end really enjoyed the tranquility and the game drives.

Great Camping facilities, on offer, laundry, kitchen, good ablution block, nice emergency shop. restaurant, bar. fantastic pools. Good roads around the park. 4x4 trails. fabulous views. Very dry though. Friendly staff. Camp site cleaned every day. Loads of game.

Yes you can but I dont think you can do the 4x4 trails - and they are really interesting. The road is tarred or fairly good dirt road most of the way.

The road from the N9 to Craddock had a lot of roadworks - about 4 Stop Ry Go's but hopefully this wll be sorted by December. The roads in the park are tarred and good dirt roads - you dont need a 4x4 or an offroad. I did... More
