In a field of monuments it’s very hard to distinguish between them. This Temple is one that you would remember. It’s in the same field as the Butterball. Very complete. Some are not so finished and the finished Temples are the best.

Ganesh Ratha Temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesh and in terms of architecture it’s similar to the Pancha Rathas. You can pray at the temple and seek blessings as well. A perfect place to visit with your elderly parents as the place is quiet divine...More

The Ganesh Ratha Temple or the chariot temple is very beautiful and located close to the Arjuna Penance and the Krishna's Butter Ball. worth spending some time looking at the beautiful architecture.

a temple much revered by the locals , it is of the same antiquity as the others but mostly revered by locals more than tourists. At the end of the monument walk.

This is an operational temple around caves and carvings. Small yet well maintained with a pujari, aarti and prasadam in the evening.

This temple is shape in form of chariot. Temple is more than 1000 year old. But God idol is 100 year old reform by villagers. There are other heritage monuments near bye.

Another beautiful rock-cut structure at Mahabalipuram, I think this is the only one which is still active as a temple. There is a deity of Ganesha where aarti/pooja is still held and is not just a sculpture on display for tourists. This was initially constructed...More
